I hope that's all it is. Don't really see the point in bringing Hoyer when we have Fitz, at least if they're going to be backing Mallett. If we lose Mallett, I could see us bringing in Hoyer just to have competition for the starting job. But I can't really see them bringing Hoyer in to back up Mallett and cutting Fitz as Tania suggested.

Back to Mallett/Hoyer/QB Why all the fuss? This is what you get when you don't have a franchise QB [or even a "game manager"]: stop gaps and fringe starters. May not say much about the crop available but Mallett and Hoyer are two of the "better" FA QBs available. You aren't trading up for Mariota or Winston. Petty? Hundley? Grayson? Mannion? They waited last year until round four for Savage. So...? Pickings are slim. Good luck!
Great move. You have two tackle positions locked up with great players. Consistent line play will make a bad offense decent.
i think a lot of the locals underrate our players. Like we can't grow talent. R.I.P barwin and gq. I think kendrick has to be "re-signed" to stay a texan.

Well this sucks. I was really hoping we'd land one of these guys, but this tweet pretty much confirms the Texans have zero interest.
I know it does suck. Because everything he says sounds good. Also, Lewis is a necessity in my opinion. We get him for a decent price and we will have space to go after the guys McClain mentions.
exactly what I was thinking I expect the texans to contact all those players named to inform them that they have absolutely ZERO interest
Not even an hour later...so much for the Maclin, Smith, Cobb, Wilfork dreams.

I don't see Texans signing big name FAs cause they have budgets on how much they value players. he's just playing both sides. he we get a big name he mentioned, then he mentioned it and will let everyone know that he did. if we miss any/all of them, well he mentioned it and will let everyone know.
