McHale learned his lesson. If he won't go for Javale, then all the more he won't go for this guy.

Giving him an RV and personal chauffeur to get him to and from RGV games ... #epicfail

Probably ran out of money, will try to get a gtd contract and the all of his "symptoms" will return.

He should go work @ McD, no flying required there.

From that draft, I'd settle for Fab Melo, just so I can buy the jersey.

I would be really happy if Royce learned his lesson, came back into the league, and was valuable asset to a team other than the Rockets. We don't need the distraction.

I do wish him the best.

Royce is a freak show who loves the media storm he is getting. He reads these threads no doubt and probably puppets on this forum.

Doesn't coming back imply that he has been to a certain place before? Has he even played a single second of a regular NBA game?

Yup, and in order to be considered for inclusion of threads about you in the GARM you must at least suit up for ONE NBA game for the Rockets, which he did not....so off to the Dish with you.

Morey: Worst 1st round pick EVER!

    But...

Morey: Terrence Williams deal one of his worst

    So...

Worst trade: Terrence Williams for first round pick
    Worst draft pick: Royce White
    Worst FA signing: _________?

Does he really? Dropped his first name, huh?

    ____________________________

That was the Lamb, Jones, White draft. 1/3 ain't bad. ;):p

We couldn't trade those guys! They were the next great things!

Royce was the next LeBron James/Magic Johnson.

Which reminds me, what ever happened to 'coachbadlee'?

I wouldn't be surprised at all if he signs some 10-day contracts and/or plays some in the D-league, but unless he has made some progress with his mental illness, it seems unlikely he is capable of being a reliable contributor to an NBA team. He may be known for his anxiety issues, but narcissism and a complete lack of interest are his primary problems, and the ones that prevented him from playing.

There aren't many people in this world that can play in the NBA without being dedicated to the job.

I don't know anything about mental health, but having an interest in the job seems completely independent from his health and he doesn't seem to have it.

Also, there is one point that I want to dispute in the original article... it said that the NBA was not ready for Royce White. These kind of problems are not something that any employer is ready for, but the Rockets were clearly open to accommodating Royce, and did a lot of things to help him. I think it is completely fine that there wasn't an elaborate policy and/or plan for him at the time he was drafted. What they weren't ready for, and couldn't adjust to was Royce's desire not to fulfill his part of the deal. The Rockets showed good will and made a more than reasonable effort in the deal.
