It's because Westbrook takes likes 40 shots a game.

Harden barely ever shoots more than 20-25 times.

its not like he was out of shape before he got hurt. when dwight is ready to go, he'll be ready to go. i think being in shape is the least of our worries with dwight.

Well to be fair, we were playing the Pistons, and Westbrook played against the Bulls in Chicago.

Harden is all world. TJ is hitting his stride. Brewer is so important to the team. Bev., DMo, Ariza head up the "brick brigade."

    two funny things i noticed

    1. on that terry to harden inbounds play where he scores, SVG is completely livid, it's hilarious.

    2. on the harden, stepback and-1..look at josh smith do the stirring symbol right in front of svg's face and pistons bench...

no wonder we're the most hated lol

My favorite part of the game was the back to back blocks by TJ. He's been ballin lately

I don't think Curry has had a single triple double this season. Has he even had one his entire career?

imo the only narrative for Curry is that he plays on the best team. Other than that he's not ahead of harden, lebron or Westbrook in terms of raw talent and out put. People are taking it for granted but the season harden and Westbrook are having rival only Lebron, MJ and Bird, that's pretty good company.

But what if Atlanta finishes with a better record than GSW? The Warriors would no longer be the "best team".

To be fair chicago lost to pacers . To be fair he had to triple doubles and lost against suns and trailblazers .. I think in crunch time .

this is interesting for a few reasons:
-it really seemed like for a few post-all-star games they were sitting bev for long stretches because he had become such a liability in every regard, but since our home-stand win-streak he's actually gotten back to where he used to be/should be.
-but: just thinking back on this game (i didn't rewatch it and am merely coming straight from memory) it seems like overall he did play less, and was put in at the end of the game to basically keep the game afloat for a few minutes before SVG cleared the bench (which he never did because the pistons went on their run). it's not 100% on pat, but in his minutes at the end, that task basically failed.
-bev is an emotional player. think about all those shots he made after lebron held him down to the ground. he really is a skilled/gifted dude (insert obligatory skills joke here). when he's hot, he's a good shooter, on-ball defender, etc (we all know these things). but he just can't run an offense, and if he comes out flat, he tends to stay that way. this is why i was pretty excited about pablo at first, but of course it seems like he won't play unless mchale feels he "needs to" (although wow some of the stuff he did against the nets and clippers should have been enough to keep him in the rotation).
-so what i'm saying is i do agree with what you're saying here, but also it just comes down to reading what's going on in a game and making necessary adjustments (imo, pablo needed to run the offense at the end of the game, but having him and bev there was awkward). overall i wasn't afraid we were going to lose or anything, but i think it's interesting/slightly discomfiting that we now have a logjam at point guard and power forward, where no one is truly transcendent (although obviously jones has been wonderful lately) and it doesn't seem like the coaches/players themselves can read the game situation right. but this observation about bev is spot-on and i think hearkens back to when he was being sat for long stretches in those post-all star games.

There's nothing funny about it, one dude gets 40 on 38 shots, the other guy gets 38 on 21 shots. That's basically the difference between the real MVP and a black hole.

Nice bounce back win after 2 tough losses. Harden was his usual great self. He played like he knew Westbrook overtook leading scorer, being extra aggressive scoring early. Wish he'd played less minutes, but oh well. Jones continues to ball. Love his inside play on both ends. He wasn't successful guarding Randolph, but maybe his increased strength can be more effective against Blake and Aldridge. Dorsey was huge inside during his limited minutes.

Atlanta might well finish with a better record, since they are in a much weaker conference. GSW are the best team so far.

Boy one of the most boring highlight commentary I've ever heard. Stuart Scott was truly a wizard.
