Never would have thunk rondo would have more points than lillard right now. Also Lopez just got hacked and no call on that
Just on Monday, there were countless articles about how Harden was MVP in the media, including ESPN. He isn't forgotten or on the verge of it. He does need to put up big number/hit a game winner soon though. Averages have been ehh since the all-star break. Break out for a couple more 40+ performances. A 50 point game will sure bring him up in talks.
I've mentioned this in another thread, but so far we have Jalen Rose, Avery Johnson, Sam Amick, Damian Lillard and Zach Lowe saying Harden is their MVP so far. I think Bill Simmons is with Harden as well. People who know the game know what Harden is doing for Houston. He just needs to keep it up. Westbrook isn't getting an MVP for putting up crazy numbers for an 7/8 seed. Ditto for Anthony Davis. It's down to Harden and Curry, two players who have been doing it ALL season, but only one has had to carry his team without their defensive anchor and second best player, not to mention an inferior supporting cast (I love our guys, don't get me wrong but we don't have the collective talent or depth that GS do). Both players deserve it. Harden deserves it more.
Yeah, looks like an achilles... Damn shame. I liked Matthews before he got annoying on the Blazers last playoffs. Just damn..
best wishes for wes, but man that's a huge loss for portland if true..could be the weakest team in the top 8 leads the league in 3 pt makes and his defense is sick..that's huge... good thing they got afflalo, but i don't see him being as effective
Looks like Dallas is the weak team out there. I would say SAS is there too based on how they've been playing this year but you never know with them. Dallas and Portland look like good matchups.
But there were favorites to start the year and the addition of Rondo was supposed to make them better than any team in the NBA!
