Being in the #1 spot this year in the NBA is going to be a tough assignment out West.

    Good luck Coach Kerr.

Wasn't this from a conversation between the Rockets and Warriors GM?

I'd like to hear the conversation that produced this comment by Kerr. It probably reads more harsh than it actually was.

Wasn't the GSW GM talking up Curry as MVP while Morey was campaigning for Harden at the Sloan conference?

Do you hear McHale talking about Harden as MVP? The players do, but not McHale.

And besides Klay might get jealous.

Actually . . . his job is to recruit new players as well

Saying COME PLAY WITH MVP Harden sounds better than VERY GOOD HARDEN

I was listening to ESPN NBA Radio
and they kept b****ing about JSmoove not recruiting talent to ATL
That he did nothing to improve the team when he wss there by recruiting other players to ATL . .. .

Maybe Morey has to recruit as well

and show players he has their backs too

    TRANSLATION:

Kerr: "We know that the media is already campaigning hard for our guy, so we don't need to lift a finger. They'll do all the work for us."

The sports media is no different than the political media. They craft news however they want to. Morey simply uses Twitter to sidestep the need to be interviewed by people that hate him to get attention.

Kerr is just scared that Harden will take the MVP award that was gifted to his boy Curry by the media two weeks into the season.

Steve Kerr is 100% right. So is Daryl Morey.

Kerr's team is a true championship contender. Morey knows that his team isn't really going to win a title this year so he is focused on doing PR for his best player for an award.

Oh it was definitely a nice jab. Morey spends too much time on twitter and I'm pretty sure the league knows this. One nice endorsement of your superstar is nice. But making statements like "without James we're nowhere" is unnecessary. Morey's cocky, a little too cocky having not won anything yet. The rest of the nba dislikes that. Kerr was very tactful in his criticism of Morey. If we don't get out the 1st round it will be another ugly offseason for Morey

Is Morey seriously doing any major campaigning aside posting on Twitter? I have followed the Rockets as closely as anyone this season and I haven't noticed an inordinate amount of Morey 'campaigning'

Apparently this wasnt in response to a question. Why even bring it up if you are "focused on other things"?

<blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>Since some have asked, I didn't bring up Morey, Harden or the Rockets to Kerr. He brought that up</p>&mdash; Ethan Strauss (@SherwoodStrauss) <a href="https://twitter.com/SherwoodStrauss/status/573623854330814464">March 5, 2015</a></blockquote>

I don't believe this and neither does Morey. We're in this B if Dwight is ready to roll.
