Rather start Corey Brewer and start suffocating teams with D. And get Dorsey out of starting line up while we are it. TJ next to D-Mo makes more sense if TJ can still D like he did before getting injured.

I heard from a reliable source that Morey has told McHale that as soon as this thread reaches 10,000 pages he will have no choice but to start Isaiah Canaan.

This team hasn't played as well as it did early in the season when Canaan was starting for the injured Bev - let the boy play!

When are these guys going to realize that ridiculous haircuts have a direct correlation to poor play on the court. James Harden is the only guy who's been able to buck that trend because everyone knows that his strength lies in his beard.

Frobe wasn't too bad. Bosh did pretty well in his Toronto days with the longer hair too.

He's doing a good job of maintaining his 1:1 assist to turnover ratio.

Someone let him know he wants to have more of one and less of the other.

Yeah we are seeing now why Canaan dropped so far in the draft. Has a ton of talent as a shooter at the PG spot, but a PG in the NBA that cannot get to the rim, and create out of the P&R just doesn't have much use playing as your primary ball handler.

Canaan is shooter. That's pretty much it. I think he fit in well starting next to Harden and will still have a career in the NBA even if he can't improve as a facilitator in Philly.

Let's see where he is at the end of the year after he is settled, Josh Smith came around, so can Canaan.

I like how one good game is somehow justification, but the ten bad games he had before last nights was not.

    Canaan sucks. Get over it.

I find an odd similarity of what is being said about Canaan and of Lin couple years back.

Morey gets too much credit out here. He has had mess up after mess up in the PG position off late.

    - Let Dragic walk over a player option
    - Sign an over-rated, turn over prone, low IQ mental midget in Lin
    - Tell Lowry to wait on Bosh and Melo (no guarantee here but still stupid move)
    - Let Canaan and a 2nd round pick go for bench warmer KJ, throw in 2 other 2nd round picks to get another bench warmer in 37 year old pringles.

However, the inept fool McHale is more to blame for Canaan going. Canaan was the perfect off guard player next to Harden (who is the real PG) in an offense that is dominated by the 3 ball and yet McHale had him in the doghouse for no reason forcing Morey's hand.

Canaan really loves to play when he is being challenged. We have seen it in Summer league when Wiggins challenged him; looked like he was never going to miss. We saw it in the D-League when a no name player was trying to go shot for shot with him; he hit all his shots to end the game. We saw it when he was starter when Pat was out. Interesting player. It's when no one is trying to out shine him when he is content to blend into the back ground.
