I hope Mitch Kupchak does the Houston Rockets a favor and signs Lin to a stupid contract. That way, it keeps Morey from bringing him back.
Amazing how Rox fans refer to Lin as a "4th string" point guard, when their own point guard rotation consists of Beverley, a 38 year old Jet, and a 47 year old Noodle-roni.
Stop lying out of your azz, Pablo is shooting 23% as a Rocket, and Beverly shoots at a 38% clip while his defense has regressed. One can make the case that Terry is more efficient than Lin's last season, but Terry is mostly a spot-up shooter while Lin created offense for both himself and teammates. Lin's stats last season? 45% FG, 36% 3P, 4.1 AST, 2.5 TO, 12.5 PPG
It's not amazing you are pulling caca out of your pooper again. First of all (grammar Nazi coming through): "were" not "are" if you were talking about last year. Sorry couldn't help it. Secondly, desperate times does not call for desperate measures. What you posted is blatantly false Mr Clutch. Jeremy Lin was and is currently better than all three of those guys. Too easy... I love it when you lofs start putting in so much effort to prove the haters wrong and when the haters respond with a lengthy diatribe.
The thing with Lin is he is so inconsistent. Fine, maybe by the numbers overall Lin plays better than Bev. But the thing is Bev/Pablo/whoever are consistent, they have a lower ceiling but they also have a higher floor than Lin, and if they are consistent then they can play a role, the coach can put them in the game plan etc or use them in critical moments etc. With Lin oth, it's a like seeing a box on your doorstep, you don't know if you're gonna get chocolate or poop prank and if you always alternate between good player and bad player then the coach will lose his trust in you because you always make him look bad no matter what: if Lin plays well then the coach looks dumb for not playing him enough and if Lin plays bad then the coach looks dumb for trusting him so much. No wonder LOFs call every coach who coaches Lin a player killer. It can also be a costly mistake in the playoffs, by the time coach realize scrub Lin came out to play that day instead of Linsanity then maybe the opponent already put their team in a hole. Or maybe Linsanity was cooling on the bench all this time when he could won the game. It's a distraction, and honestly you don't want your coaches dealing with additional mind games when they are already dueling with another coach in Xs and Os.
Its more than stats. It's about not turning it over in the final seconds or missing a fast break layup when we already have the lead. It's about understanding your role and being consistent Why did Lin get benched for scrubs if he's so good?
Please keep lin and his fans lakers. He belongs there and so does his fans. La has Kardashians and jeremy lin. They are popular for a short period of work or a tape of work.
Does anyone remember those games where Harden would be out and Lin would go 30+. What did Bev do without Harden? 9pts?
I'd rather have beverly playing d and not turning the ball over in crunch time. We got dudes who can score. Lin belongs in California, he grew up there
I'm not even sure if Beverley can play defense anymore. Without a rim protector, Beverley is getting torch by scoring PGs.
In addition to playing D, Bev is clutch and has the no fear gene. Lin is anti clutch. In our two most recent wins against the Nets and Cavs, Bev hit clutch 3 pointers down the stretch despite being in a shooting slump. That is confidence and swag. Lin has the ball stolen by Mo Williams and blows lay ups come crunch time to lose you games.
