As a child of the 80s, these are the ones that stand out for me: - Knight Rider - Airwolf - Dukes of Hazzard - TMNT/ GI JOE/ HE MAN And there are themes that have scarred me for life: - Facts of Life - The Fall Guy - Threes Company
Mash and Taxi are probably the two that will stick with me till eternity. Something about White Men's Jazz pulls a string in my heart. Yeah I know oxymoron but without a doubt those two theme songs are probably my favorite.

Have Gun Will Travel - where the theme song was at the end of the show. Dallas - the city may suck but the show had a good theme
Seinfeld ushered in the "show about nothing" era which focused more on setting than premise, so there wasn't as much of a need to telegraph overall themes through lyrics or short clips during the opening credits.
The overhead shots in Dallas's opening and then later the oilfield clips were terrific, I don't think there was a lot of flattering imagery of the contemporary South at the time and Dallas in particular had a strong stigma after '63.
Everyone did, cable was a luxury and UHF daytime programming wasn't buried in fake judge or talk shows, just prime time syndication for the rich Fox stations and Gidget and That's My Mama reruns for 39 Gold.
