mc mark, you are not helping the discourse.

At least you didn't call people Taliban this time. Small victories.

Come on Buck. There hasn't been any meaningful discourse from the right in years. Hence the thread.

And the term is Y'all Qaeda.

Totally true to the first point.

To the second, it kinda really offends me. I know I'm just a simple redneck hippie country Willie-style caveman Texan, and your New York ways frighten and confuse me, but still....

Didn't feel like this deserved it's own thread, but Jon Stewart responds to Fox New's response to him leaving... and it's glorious. He not only dismantles Fox News but the entire right wing nut ideology. Seriously going to miss this guy.

Marco Rubio Tries To Lecture Obama On ISIS, Commits Epic Error
    http://thinkprogress.org/world/2015...tries-criticize-obama-isis-commits-epic-fail/

Potential 2016 presidential candidate Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) inexplicably told a conservative audience on Friday that President Barack Obama lacked a military strategy to confront ISIS because he feared upsetting Iran, a country that has actually committed itself to defeating the terrorist group.

Speaking before the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) in Maryland, Rubio told radio and TV host Sean Hannity that “if we wanted to defeat them militarily, we could do it. [Obama] doesn’t want to upset Iran.”
Referring to the United States’ ongoing negotiations with Iran to contain that country’s nuclear program, Rubio continued, “In [Obama’s] mind, this deal with Iran is going to be the Obamacare of the second term, and he doesn’t want them sending military to the region because they think the region belongs to them.”

There’s just one problem: Iran has been fighting ISIS just like the United States and has publicly urged America to take a larger role in the operation. Obama has even sent a letter to Iran’s Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei suggesting anti-ISIS cooperation.

You think the type of half-wits and senile old minds that watch people like Hannity are going to take that into consideration? Rubio knows they won't. He's intelligent. His message was sent to the right audience and they will eat it up.

Good god how stupid do you have to be to not understand the whole sunni/Shia blood feud to the end of days thing, and then lecture about mideast policy?

Sometimes it easy to confuse Iran for Iraq due the vagaries of spelling, but in this case it ain't what happened obviously . ....damn that is some first class, uncut free based stupid.

How about this, all registered Republicans above age 18 are hereby exempted from seatbelts, receiving food prepared in accordance with food safety laws, and every other public health law that doesn't really effect noncompliers?

I have a feeling that this would galvanize support for single payer.

Homosexuality is a choice and prison sex proves it
    http://chicago.suntimes.com/politics/7/71/413418/ben-carson-gay-prison-sex

Ben Carson says without a doubt, homosexuality is a conscious choice people make. And the potential 2016 presidential candidate says you have to look no further than prison culture to reach the same conclusion as him.

Carson made the comments Wendesday morning to CNN’s Chris Cuomo on “New Day” while discussing gay marriage.

“What if people of a state vote for a law, 100-0, that winds up infringing on the rights of a minority?” Cuomo asked. “Like happened very often with slavery, and like many would argue is happening now with people who are gay.”

Carson said that’s a flawed comparison, because “people have no control over their race.”

When asked if he thinks people have control over their sexuality, Carson said “absolutely.”

And then he pulled out the prison sex comparison to try to make his point.

“Because a lot of people who go into prison go into prison straight — and when they come out, they’re gay,” Carson said. “So, did something happen while they were in there? Ask yourself that question.”

Hahaha wow. I can't believe this is still an issue. The party that screams for small government keeps trying to tell you who you are allowed to marry. The hypocrisy here is pretty comical.

I, for one, hope Ben Carson and the rest of the Republicans continue this debate!

History will not look kindly on these bigots and the lengths they go to in order to discriminate.

Carson went from a respectable brain surgeon that jazzed up the Republican party at a prayer breakfast to a guy who will end the presidential cycle as a joke. I guess he'll always have those high dollar speaking fees though now that he is seen as a warrior for the right.
