it means she owned the hardware the emails were stored on, sitting in her house!

Guessing any hard drives of interest have all been Lernered by now.

Yes, it could mean that. It could easily mean other things.

Except of course the 55,000 pages of emails Clinton provided to satisfy the request. Far more than the 2,400 pages produced by the RNC when Bush was found to have done the exact same thing.

I know, you're only interested in potential misdeeds of one political party, no room for context or nuance in your narrow worldview.

Just wait until she unleashes the full fury of her wrath upon her enemies when she has the tools of the presidency at her disposal. Be careful what you say about her or you may end up in one of the re-education camps.

Now thats the kind of president we need - someone who can destroy the right wing and ISIS at the same time.

Me either. Sounds like her staff screwed up. I don't see this derailing her in 2016 unless there's a lot more to this than what I've seen so far.

Screwed up? Like they accidentally installed private email servers? I don't think they've screwed up at all. They compared the risks of it coming out that she had secret correspondence against the risk that the contents of her communications could be published and embarrass her (or worse). I do agree with you that it probably isn't very damaging to her presidential run. So, I'd say her staff made the shrewd choice.

i don't think that's the case. If that was the goal, the shrewd thing to do would have been to do most innocent communications on a government email address and then anything potentially damaging on a separate one (or in person where there is no record at all). Not evening having a government address seems like a terrible idea if the goal was to cover anything up.

That said, I would be curious to hear her explain why she felt a private server was the best option for her. I don't think that's an unreasonable expectation for anything that's done out-of-the-norm.
