I understand that. My point is that if it's as simple as Harden breaking the "rule", then the officials should be immediately fired for being incompetent.

I think the other scenario is much more likely, which is that the "higher ups" considered extra information -- i.e. LeBron having his feelings hurt.

Great point and if I can add, they also had the big mothership replay center that the refs go to also when they review now at the game.

No kicking in fights??? What white bread p***y ass neighborhood did you grow up in? Using fists only (or in your case maybe open handed slaps) is not a golden rule it's only the rule for twats who don't know anything about grappling, savate or taekwondo. You fight with me I will kick the living b**** out of you. Then punch you in the medulla oblangata and reach in and grab your floating rib and flip it inside out. If you piss your pants and cry too damn loud then I would really get mad and frack you up.

Well no ****. Those higher ups also didn't review the play in an isolated like those initial refs did. The audience and the following discourse about the incident changed the ruling. Not the mechanics of what actually occurred on the court.

this. i'm not surprised at the suspension- i didn't like what i saw from Harden in that moment. but it's no worse than what LBJ did to beverly.

and for the record, i don't think Harden was going for the balls, just lashed out and that's where the kick landed.

Honestly didn't think it looked like such a flagrant kick. It didn't even look like he extended his leg, it was already extended, and he basically rolled and got him. Lebron overreacted like Beverly overreacted. At least that's how I saw it.

I don't think the officials are incompetent if they get it wrong. The higher ups just didn't agree with them. It happens all the time. Although I think the suspension is ridiculous that he was the only one looked at even though there were several aggressive plays that were blatantly intentional (Bron's shove on Beverley to the floor)

I view it as a retail employee who tells the customer they can't do something but the managers overruling them because they have a different perception of the situation.

It doesn't matter. Harden beat LeBron bad enough that it caused him to post one of the most pitiful pictures of a sports athlete that I have seen. LeBron can try to get the last laugh but Harden can always say he won.

Could also be that the refs didn't want to eject Harden or Bron during what was shaping up to be a quality basketball game. So no action during game time, but punishments are served afterwards.

BTW, I don't agree with the suspension, just making a guess.

Haha this is the leagues way to dystroy hardens image for for MVP by exaggerating a "kick to the groin" to the point of suspended against the 2nd best team in the league so he can't prove himself against them

    **** Adam silver he's literally lebrons b****

He should be suspended for pushing down bev

Agree to disagree. It's a major problem if, after looking at the identical angles and photo/video evidence, the league office comes to a 180-degree different conclusion than the officials they pay gobs of money to.

This isn't a block/charge where you have to make a 50/50 call in a split-second. This is a serious, extended review based on thoroughly examining all the evidence within the known rules. If the league higher-ups and the on-court officials come to a completely different interpretation in that context, it is a serious problem, IMO.

The refs are on the record as telling Cleveland there was no intent -- thus no Flagrant 2.

On Harden's kick: Refs told #Cavs if it was intentional, it would've been flagrant-2 & ejection. It isn't like its clear cut though. If Harden threw a punch or something and they had difference of opinions that is one scenario I could see your point. I'm sure there was plenty of outside influence in the decision via twitter reactions, player complaints, etc

Exactly. That, to me, is unacceptable. To suspend arguably the MVP of the league from a meaningful game in part due to reactions from random idiots on Twitter and complaints from a losing lockerroom... just terrible.

The LeBron-Beverley deal was a typical scuffle. LeBron came down on top of him, Beverley tries to get up first using LeBron as leverage and they both grabbed each other. Very typical. Kicking someone in the nuts purposefully is horse****

I don't know people seem to like us more after Sunday. You'd be surprised how many people don't like Lebron James.
