Even with Harden this was likely a loss. Without him it'll be damn near impossible. Hopefully Atlanta gets suckered into the trap game, the Lakers beat them at home so you never know.
If we win, do you think that hurts Harden's MVP chances? I know that's really stupid but that's how the national media will view it.
If we win, does it hurt Harden's MVP chances? The argument against Curry and Lebron's case is that they have a much stronger team. Edit: TesseracT beat me by a few seconds, haha
Rockets just picked up a new player off the waiver wire. Jamie Hardin. Hope he works out James Is out for this game. Rockets need another Playmaker.
I actually have strong faith in the team for this one. Brewer will be the leader for the game lets see what he can do for us.
Trap game for Atlanta. So it's going to be guard rotation starting with Beverly and Terry? with Pablo and Brewer/Ariza splitting time at SG? Will Nick Johnson get some rub?
We knew this was going to be a tough game anyway, but with TJ and Smith I liked Rockets chances. I really love the games where the Rockets are counted out. This game will be fun I expect some good games from Brew, Pablo, TJ, DMO and Smoove. I think some of us will be shocked by how well the offense flows. I'm ready to see what they can do.
Hoping the rockets can still pull off the W but man... upset about Harden's suspension. Dude just couldn't keep his leg still...
It will be very interesting to see what the starting line-up will be. I would go with: PG- PatBev SG- KJMCD SF- Ariza PF- TJones C- DMo Want to keep that second unit intact, plus it gives KJ some extra playing time, which would be helpful in an emergency scenerio in the playoffs.
Can't wait for the Rockets to crush the Hawks. This team is on a mission and I am hoping ATL is thinking like the fans on CZ who give up before the game is played. Rockets "role players" will out work and run them into the ground.
Hopefully we make it a game. Looks really trappy for Atlanta as I'm sure Houston will be playing freely since they are supposed to lose this without Harden.
I think this is game can be had. Start Brewer in Harden's place. He might have to play 40 minutes, though. D-Mo and Jones should be on a mission to prove they can finish stronger around the basket. Rebounding will be key, as well as limiting turnovers. But the Rockets proved they can protect the ball better against the Clippers. Play smart. Don't force. Motivation? The players should rally around the questionable suspension of Harden in the same way Ariza stood up for Beverly. Anything less than full effort and focus and the Cleveland win will be diminished. For one game they can play over their heads... or is that play up to their best? C'mon Rockets!
