I'm cool with not getting Goran, but I we desperately need someone that can create a shot for themselves or others in the 4th. Harden is getting double teamed so much in the 4th and our 4th quarter offense is struggling because of it. Our 4th quarter offensive margin this season is 23rd. I think Harden and Pablo would be a good closing unit because Pablo can set people up. I still think Daryl should've gone after Mo Williams, but I trust his judgement. Hopefully having a healthy Dwight can actually easy those 4th quarter scoring numbers. If not that's going to be a huge achillies heel in the playoffs. We were up in like I think at least 5/6 games vs Portland last season in the 4th, but had issues closing out.
Dragic wouldn't have pushed the needle any further if we had to give up TJ or DMo. We would be eaten up big time on the boards and ahve serious lack of front court depth until Dwight came back. Either way with Harden here Dragic's role would be minimzed and nowhere worth the max deal he was demanding. Ty Lawson remains the perfect fit both play wise and contract wise.
I guess if Morey thinks Jones is a future All-Star then he must think DMo is a future hall-of-famer. (Must have plenty of alcohol at them lunches. )
Serious question. When is T _ones going to be traded? Dude is as healthy as ever and is balling out of control helping the Rockets to big wins against some good team.
No one is surprised that Morey would offer a up a good player for another good player in a trade. YOU were the one saying Jones might not even stay int he league. Why would the suns trade for a player that isnt good who cant stay int he league according to you?
The uncertainty of Jones' health seems to have been an issue with our front office as much as Phoenix's
Or the Rockets probably didn't want Zoran included in that package. Miami said F it we will take him.
Jones might not stay in the league long-term. The point was that Morey was willing to give up Jones but not willing to give up DMo. That should tell you SOMETHING about how he values the 2 players.
No. I don't know what Jones is worth on the free agent market. I'd suspect some team would probably give him $20-$30 million over 4 years but I'm just guessing. And at that figure they'd be banking on him to be at least a role player in a good team (Taj Gibson or similar) and hopeful he blossomed into something much greater. But what he gets on the free agent market doesn't determine what he is worth in salary to THIS TEAM at this point in time or at a future point in time.
I am happy to read cyberx post about Terrence and PHX however. It simply means that Terrence is recovering his asset value. That's a good thing for us both on-court and off-the-court in future trade discussions.
