ClutchFans Game Thread: Cavaliers @ Rockets 3/1/2015

I've grown fond of every ESPN announcer not named Jon Barry when the Rockets are playing because that means I get to listen to somebody not named Jon Barry.

 

This is my attitude now. I want Jon Barry on the other side of the country calling another game...as far away as possible.

 

It correlates a lot to the shot types, basically every one of our free throws were inside/drives. Kyrie also shot a lot of free throws.

 

I'm currently into the second 'Wired' segment with Iman Shumphert, and he has instantly become one of my least liked people in the league.

 

MEPS Harden sure makes a lot of the internet salty, huh?

 

Is Pablo out of the rotation or was today a one time thing? There was a sequence of some poor hustle decisions he made and Mchale just yanked him out.

Hopefully that's not going to continue because Pablo is so good at directing the offense. Terry as a SG is fine, but PG Terry and PG Beverly (albeit randomly developed some passing ability after the scuffle) is a bit too much.

 

In games where Bev is playing well and in games where we can't afford to rest Harden much, I can't see Pablo seeing too many minutes. If Harden is out there it's just better for him to have the ball and it seems Pablo is a bit too reluctant to shoot to be used along side Harden for many minutes. He's great for running the offense when Harden sits though.

 

I agree it's somewhat redundant playing him with Harden, but I think he could help Harden's offensive efficiency big time.

I remember reading how when Pablo was on the court with Melo, Melo's efficiency skyrocketed

 

The ABC broadcast crew with Hubie Brown gave a lot of love to Harden and the Rockets.

They were very fair in their assessment of the game.

 

Who is Jon Barry? Is he more famous than Joey Dorsey?

Morey was going to trade Dmo to the suns for dragic? Why would he do that! We are going to need Dmo in the playoffs when the game slows down!

lol seriously. It was pointless to have him wired, he was on the bench the whole time.

 

A lot of it was because LBJ was shooting jump shots primarily, especially after the 1st quarter. Cavs' offense yesterday was give LBJ the ball and let him figure it out. Usually LeBron is good about driving throughout the game but yesterday, he kept isolating for contest jump shots. In the first quarter, when LBJ was constantly driving to the basket, I was weary because no one can stop him when he wants to go to the hole.

Luckily, he decided to be a jumpshooter the rest of the game.

 

Coach Nick or whatever his name is, is a certified Harden-hater, and not much of a Rocket's fan too. He always repost whenever Harden makes a mistake on defense with some "coach talk".

He probably will make a video but it will hardly be Rocket-centric. More about LeBron and the Cavs taking and missing a lot of threes.

 

I was puzzled, in a home game for the Rockets and with Dwight in street clothes, why Dwight wasn't wired for sound. Stupid ESPN.
