Bev played well for a stretch, right after that LeBron incident. I think Bev needs to be pushed around to be good.
Beverley and Ariza did exactly what theyre supposed to do today. Its too bad they only do this once/twice a month. Hopefully this brings Bev out of his mediocrity and back into respectable role player status
And again, who could we have gotten with just that NOP pick? Every PG traded at the deadline went for a super steep price. We clearly need our big men without Dwight being healthy, so getting rid of 1 of them seems risky to say the least. So for just the NOP pick, who do we get?
This post says it all. Beverley's tenacious fearlessness is the real role he fills for this team. It was amazing.
And therein lies why fans generally think the team sucks more than they actually do. Have a good game and no one remembers. Have a bad one and it will be recalled over and over.
Bev was excellent today, but the occasional great game doesn't eliminate all the terrible games he's played recently. Hopefully he can play like this more often and I will gladly shut up, but he has still been terrible for most of this season.
I was wondering the same. Glad bev played a heck of a game. Will need him to knock down those open threes in the playoffs.
Beverley's style of play isn't suitable for regular season games. He needs either playoffs or playoff atmosphere in a regular season game to play to his full potential.
I am not a big Bev fan but he was huge today and if I remember correctly he only had 1 dumb play. He actually played his role well. If he would do this everytime instead of once a month we would be set
Bev did great today, still made some boneheaded fouls, but overall did good. I'd give his performance a B+
Pablo didn't have the best game today...one of those games where "chemistry" played against him due to the pace However, he'll get there..which leads me to Beverly...the less minutes he plays hopefully he'll continue to be more effective and consistent. When Howard comes back it'll get interesting. Most importantly Rockets didn't let Lebron BULLY us and we won the game on the court. Both we would've lost earlier in the year. Now if we can just get DMO not to miss easy shots down the stretch...
