So they have Parsons and a declining Dirk to build around.

Monta and Chandler could get big raises

I'd be surprised if Chandler gets a raise in Dallas and would not be surprised to see him leave. Again.

I can imagine Cuban pushing Monta hard to pick up that option or take a lower than market contract. He'll learn fast that not everyone is Dirk.

I would expect the Mavs to make a run at Deandre Jordan honestly.

True, but he's still a 26% 3 point shooter for his career (shooting WAY above that in Dallas at 38% so we can look for that to go down) and only a 60% FT shooter. Anyway, I'm happy with him being Dallas' problem and I wonder how much the Rockets would have to pay the Mavs to give Rondo the max? I think it would be worth it.

Rondo probably will be looking at 8M/per from someone like the Lakers.

    Dallas pissed away assets.

    malakas,

what are you hearing in Milwaukee concerning Tyler Ennis? Are the Bucks planning on flipping him? Or are they going to have an open competition there between Ennis and MCW?

Of course he wants to uses the cap space in Brewer and Smith. He always wants to uses the cap space in Rockets on free agency.

But where else will he go? He is a terrible terrible fit for the triangle and Karl is going to go all out on Lawson. I think he will end up in LA in the end. They could be the only ones making a good offer even if its a lot below the max.

ehm..MCW has played one game and Ennis only three. It's wayyy too early to say anything. But Ennis has looked ...to put it kindly..terrible. He can't even move the ball on the court without it getting stolen , he doesn't show any great athletisism or vision or great shooting. Only his defence is ok.
But he is way too green. They didn't play him at all in Phoenix.
My guess is right now the plan is that Ennis will be groomed as the backup PG( his ceiling imo) unless there is a trade for a center possible in the summer when he and Henson are flipped together with some 1st r picks.

And btw so you or anyone else don't ask again Middleton is untouchable part of the core and can potentially get up to a max offer in free agency the way things go, which will be matched.

Knicks would be dumb enough to throw max dollars.

    <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p>ESPN sources say Sixers and JaVale McGee are having discussions on potential buyout as today's playoff-eligibility buzzer looms at midnight</p>&mdash; Marc Stein (@ESPNSteinLine) <a href="https://twitter.com/ESPNSteinLine/status/572097654190022657">March 1, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>

Anyone think it would be good to make a go at a bought out McGee? I really dont know how i feel about it. Our rebounding right now is a big hole, but i dont know if this is the right way to fill that hole.

Yea i bumped this thread. sorry!

Crazy as it sounds, Joey Dorsey might be the better defender and rebounder. McGee would give us needed size but I don't know that he'd be an upgrade sad as that sounds.

If he is getting bought out, its most likely so he can play for a playoff team. What playoff teams need and would want to take a chance on him?

Rockets have to be on that list, Bucks maybe with the loss of Larry Sanders? Clippers could use him while Blake is out but once he returns you still need to get Hawes minutes.

Cuban would just be admitting Morey has been owning him if that happens.

No, no, no... I'd rather play Joey Dorsey 48 minutes a game. At least he plays hard and knows how to rotate on defense.
