My God, I am devastated. I had great respect for him when he played against us in the NBA Finals, and I used to stay up at night to watch him on TNT when he was a Charlotte Hornet. I was delighted when he made the All Star Game.

I shall miss him greatly. He was an original. R.I.P.

48? Wow. This guy used to seriously get under my skin, especially in the Finals but I loved his game. So sad to read.

He used to piss me off so much. Every time I saw someone with shaved letters or shapes in their head I thought of him and got mad. Would have loved him on the Rockets, though.

Hated this guy when he played for the Knicks. Couldn't stand him...which means he did his job exceptionally well. So sad to see him go so early.

He and Jerome Kersey both left the world too soon. RIP

48 damn, way too young, R.I.P. Anthony!

He was very skilled for a big man, probably one of the first of his size and width to handle the ball the way he did, made it look so awkward but was really effective. I always felt he was never a true a-hole like some other Knicks players.

He was 1 of those players I loved to hate. You know: a good, competitive, hustling, class act player whose only fault was that he played for the wrong team. My thoughts & prayers go out to his family & friends. You and the NBA community have lost a good one.

    RIP good and faithful warrior!

    RIP. Far too young.

Mason had a unique skill set, especially for his size, so versatile. I could not stand those Knicks teams, but damn were they good.

For those of you that were not Rockets fans or were too young during that first title run, it did not come easily. That Knicks team was really put together and coached so well on top of that. Not sure anyone outside of Houston thought the Rockets would win the title.

Mason epitomized early to mid 90's basketball, tough as nails. He will be missed in the basketball community.

    R.I.P.

Seems like yesterday that I picked him up for my fantasy basketball team because of his assists.

    RIP.

so sad. I presume that this could have been prevented/ delayed 15-20 yrs or more had certain things been different.

I was really hoping he would pull thru
