Gawd, Dallas?DALLAS?!?! There seriously isn't too much there anyway, unless the idea as a tourist is to hit some yeehaw cowboy places. And that's the deal. My in-inlaws in Brazil (Brasil, actually) hadn't heard much of Houston beyond the Tom Hanks catchphrase, but they'd certainly heard of Dallas; I think there's a couple businesses there in their city of the Brazilian interior with Dallas in the name. All because of the football team and that TV show. Hell, to be honest, San Antonio would be the best of our cities for a tourist.
one should be careful anywhere in a big city like New York, but one shouldn't avoid Harlem or Rucker Park based off of wikipedia entries about "young black delinquents"
Please. I'm trying to help an Australian who has never been to the US from becoming a victim of crime. He needs to know that places in the US are not like Australia -- we have some areas that are prone to crime in this country, and I'm trying to give him some advice to help him. not sure why that gets your goat, but you need to relax brah.
thanks, I'm okay. I'm trying to help an Australian be confident knowing that he probably won't get mugged or is likely not going to be the victim of a crime. I certainly never was. besides, I thought Australia had no go zones?
