NBA games aren't for families anymore or even fans. Fans can watch on TV. Live events are for corporate executives and salesmen trying to close deals.

Ditto. I've only bought tickets to one game this year. I've been given tickets to 3 other games. But the days of me going to 10-15 regular season games a year are gone. Now it's more like 1 or 2 plus some playoff games.

I got Texans tickets 4 rows up on the 40 yard line for something like $200/per. Let me know when the Rockets have seats 4 rows up near midcourt for $200 and I'll be all over it.

They went up 11% for me. From $2400 to $2900. $31 a ticket to $35 a ticket. Makes it harder to sell the tickets on Flashseats. They've also made it harder to get any rewards.

This will probably be my last year.

Anybody notice the t shirts are thinner and wear out a lot quicker?

More power to you...I have been 4 rows up on the upper deck around that price, but I have a hard time believing you would be able to replicate that deal very often.

we'll never know now, but saving money with the prigioni trade was indeed a surefire bet that we will not be getting to the finals this year.

Maybe only in the suites and lower bowl sections. But upper bowl is still mostly fans, some young professionals, and families.

Was always curious if closing a deal at an NBA game really works? "Gee, I'm not sure if switching my paper supplier to you is the best idea with your rates... Oh look Harden just shot a game winner! Okay deals on!!"

I do not give a damn about eggball or Texans, so I have more spending power on the only real sports team in this city in the Rockets. That's if you exclude Dynamos which I don't consider high level football having been to plenty of EPL games live. The increase in Rockets ticket prices will not hurt my annual sports budget that much, although it's unwelcome.

Why would you think that? We're 3rd in the West, only a few games behind the most dominant of dominant teams like Hawks & Dubs, and we have a third of the season left. And we've been doing it without Howard. And with lots of other injuries. And we've had a lot of roster changes whereas Hawks & Dubs were roster roll-outs from last year. And we've had a tougher Strength of Schedule.

Mark it down. Dubs will not make it to the Finals. We have a Howard. He's not back yet, but we have a Howard.

As much as people here b**** about the prices let's be real. Thee prices you b****ing about are for premium games more than likely.

I'm canceling my ST because with half the cost of my tickets I can easily buy better seats on flashseats or some secondary market for 70% of games. I can get lower bowl seats for $25 against the Timberwolves or Suns.

I was selling the primum games for double, triple my cost but I couldn't give away tickets to games against weak teams. Clippers tickets were going for $12 ea on flashseats Wednesday.

Sadly, it probably does. Maybe not when you're dealing with the equity owners who really do want just the best deal for their business. But, I think salesmen can exploit a principal-agent problem when the decision-maker is a delegate who gets paid the same either way.

Plus, people don't make rational decisions. I was involved in something like that as part of a small group choosing between 2 software vendors. One vendor was full of dyed-in-the-wool engineers and the other had a slick GUI and hired a hottie saleswoman to represent them. I was the one most in the details of the thing and knew both products well. I knew the engineers without a saleswoman were going to have a more functional product and would be more responsive about fixing problems. But they webexed their presentation. The other company's hottie came to town and took us all out to a restaurant and was her charming self. And the GUI was slick. So the group outvoted me even though they all knew I knew the companies and products better than they did. The implementation later failed.

Ok, wow ...that's ridiculous. Not cool, I don't know what I'll do if we get any more corporate fans in the stadium. The toyota center might as well look like the abandoned building teenagers goto on a Friday night to be cool.

Right, because championships are BUILT off the sweat and blood of back-up PGs, am I right? And also, if you actually watched him play, he's actually pretty damn good.

The GARM sucks because of crap like this. The end.

how did you like bev and terry the last 12min of rockets basketball? wouldn't it be nice to have a real starting pg on this team again? prigioni is not going to be able to consistently play big minutes in any playoff series. the GARM is brought down by clueless kool-aid drinking sheep like yourself.
