Shrug* he's your best player. This is how Westbrook has been playing since Durant went down with the injury and it was working . Can't expect him to stop now.

Westbrook went too Ham and ignored Kanter. If he'd let Kanter dominate inside like in the 3rd it would've been smooth sailing.

Wait for real? Westbrook was 12/38. Clearly him just going iso pull up was not working.

Kanter in the post was working. Pick and roll was working. Waiters and Augustin were playing well. Obviously Westbrook should be the focal point, but Westbrook took his entire team out of the offensive flow of the game. He shot OKC out of the game.

Kenny: tonight he abandoned the game plan.

LOL, Scotty' Brook's gameplan was just to give the ball to Russell. Westbrook followed the gameplan flawlessly.

It didn't work this game, but it's been working since Durant went down. It's only a problem when OKC loses. This is who Westbrook is.

I've known WB pretty well for a while. To your point, he hasn't taken 38 shots since KD went out. This is twice as many as he normally takes.

The guy was out of control tonight. He was the best and worst thing going for both teams. He took turns killing OKC and raising them back from the dead. After all these years, he still hasn't figured it out. This is especially disappointing coming so soon after the Denver game where he gave a Magic Johnson type of performance.

I can't remember this kind of hero ball from WB in a while. The number of times he jacked up early jumpers or never passed the ball was staggering. He left his head back in OKC.

He needs to learn how to adapt.

Well, sort of. It hasn't been as much of a problem because he's been more efficient than he was tonight. On nights where you're noticeably off, taking 38 shots is an easy way to lose a game. It hurts the rest of your teams ability to get involved, so something like 25-27 shots would be more ideal.

Russ during this stretch has been amazing, but even amidst this stretch I'm still surprised at how many point blank shots Russ misses right at the rim like tonight. It really is rather incredible to me given his preternatural his athletic gifts.

Still think he played a really good / great game tonight and made some excellent decisions with the ball out of the pick & roll. Is 38 shots too many? That's all relative and contextual to each given game situation. When you are that good, and have the ball that often, the offense literally relies/flows through you. That's why he can shoot 38 times and still drop off 11 assists. It can be argued that this game wouldn't be as close as it was if Russ turned down those shots. The only shots I don't like Russ shooting are the excess 3s. He takes some bad 3s and I wish he was more focused around the rim. But he still played great tonight, and when you're that tenacious and you don't have the afterburners going, then you're going to have nights like this shooting wise. The blessing and the curse.

I agree with everything you guys are saying. Westbrook was out of control, but his style is mayhem anyway. In all the time we have watched Westbrook play in the NBA, when his shot wasn't falling, has he ever just stopped shooting?

IMO, all those shots he missed were the same shots he would naturally take. Westbrook just shot more because he kept missing. He isn't like Harden where he will kind of ease off the gas and facilitate or force his way to the line to get a rhythm. I mean, Westbrook gonna Westbrook. Too late to try and edit his game now.

Is it snowing in Hell? Chuck saying Harden is MVP because Dwight has been out all year. No one on rockets having a remarkable year on the Rockets except Harden and still top in the west.

Shaq saying Harden is doing great because he taking all the shots..

In other News: WESTBROOK JUST TOOK 38 SHOTS!
