McHale in his post ASG interview said he wants up to 30min for TJ, 30min gonna be for Dwigth my guess, so it leaves 38 for Smith and DMo, but at the and at the day McHale like play small at the and at the game so be honest I cant imagine our rotation at the end of the season and PO. On the other hand 3 bigs with Smith at sf could be good i.e to Memhis but its never gonna happed.
I thinks it says a lot that DMO put up 18 and 9 and few seem to notice/care. This guy just seems to get better and better. However, he definitely looks tired out there. This is the first season he's played so many minutes. Hopefully he can somehow get reduced minutes leading up to the playoffs. We need him at 100%
am i the only one noticed that TJ dont want to share the ball with DMO + those few moments when he was injured and DMO got some nice touches, he was the only one sitting on a bench being not happy, i know the situation between them and the competition, but man, in a game you should forget that and play with a team
this has been a recurring theme all year. When DMO is in the post & posts-ups, many of his teammates don't look for him there (including T JONES). I'm not sure if they aren't confident in making the pass, don't trust DMO, or are just selfish and looking to "get theirs." I doubt its because they don't like him--by all accounts he is a great teammate... Harden seems to find DMO a bit and I feel like Beverly just doesn't facilitate the offense properly, that and DMO isn't that aggressive in demanding the ball-- he needs to do it more.
Prigs is going to be a great thing for D-Mo. If he can get more PT, the better for D-Mo. Bev either lacked the ability to get the ball inside or just didn't want to.
yes, but from today im talking about about the 4qt moment, when dmo was free at the 3point line, and tjones was looking for a free mate, but didint gave it to dmo and finished with a missed shot
Guys, we won the game. Be happy. D-Mo made some nice contributions. I don't think the other teammates are out to get D-Mo.
DMo has to learn how to play D, especially team defense.. He has to learn when to play help defense and when not too.... He's made some great strides on offense, but his defense needs a whole lot of work... He also needs to learn how to block his man out, especially these guys that are very physical... Like I said he's made great strides, but he has a long way to go. T_Man
He's too much of an finesse player who doesn't know how to use his height and strength. He is getting better but like you said he has a long way to go.
Part of the issue is we lack natural passers. Very few guys on the team with vision and ability to pass the ball to the right guys. Harden, Smith, and now Prigioni are really the only above average passers.
This is such a bass ackwards summary of D-Mo I don't know where to start. His team and help defense are extremely good. He very rarely is out of place or misses a rotation. He also boxes out extremely well, too well I think. Sometimes he needs to attack rebounds more instead of trying to box out. By the numbers, our team defense has been best with D-Mo on the floor, the only player who has been better is Ariza. His problems stem from the fact that his short arms, combined with his lack of explosiveness mean he effectively is undersized for a center even though he is a 7 footer. Likewise he lacks the main factors that equate to great rebounding (length, quick and explosive leaping, aggressiveness) D-Mo still has to improve on things, but his game awareness (offense and defense) is spectacular. His physical limitations as a center are what hurts him. He's a 4 not a 5. He needs to be more aggressive attacking rebounds and working in the post, he passes out too quickly.
Thanks for correcting him. T Man has been wrong about Dmo for a long time. I just gloss over misinformed posters these days cause I'm tired.
I like both D-Mo and Jones. If there is any tension between the 2 of them, our veteran players and Coach McHale, need to calm things down, and make them realize the better they play together the better they will get individually too, and the team will benefit immensely.
