I first thought this thread was bumped from last year. Unbelievable! Hang in there Rose, and realize that there is much more to life than basketball.
If Rose salvages a semi-productive career out of three consecutive season-ending knee problems it will be unprecedented. I sure hope he does because at his best he's a fun player, but the writing on the wall doesn't look good at all.
Walk away. No need to go through the same stuff all over again. There's more to life than Basketball.
Such a brave and talented player, and a good young man too. I feel sad to hear of this. I hope he can come back, although the chances seem remote. Perhaps coaching might be an option for him in the future.
He is done. Forget the physical difficulties. He will never be the same mentally after this latest setback. His game depends on athleticism and explosiveness and he is never going to trust his body.
Pretty much how I see it to. It's been like what, two weeks? maybe since they removed minute restrictions on him. His body just doesn't seem like it was built to hold up through a career of long NBA seasons.
Rose is a goner. Knee injuries and repeated tears are never a good sign to begin with. And for Rose whose game is 80% based on athleticism, it's almost impossible to come back to even 75% of the level he was playing at. That and the mental scars and pain that happen with each rehab process. I think he should just retire.
Terrible situation for Rose. He was a questionable candidate for MVP but now this is simply adding more fuel to the fire to that debate. Would really suck for someone to retire as the consensus worse player ever to win MVP.
I also thought this was an accidental bump from last year or something. Sucks to hear that he'll be one of those players labeled "If he had a longer career without injury". Sad.
Brutal. It's sad that the prime of his career looks like it's going to be spent on the bench and rehab table.
This makes no sense. Injuries after the fact don't ruin his MVP season. Awful news - you hate to see that happen to a guy that works so hard and is so humble.
This really sucks for Rose. Hopefully he is able to make a successful recovery, otherwise it may be time to consider life beyond NBA.

Really sad for him. This is like our Yao or Orlando's Grant Hill. Really good players that couldn't stay healthy for one reason or another.
