Maybe they think it would be cool if he actually dies while playing in a game for the T-Wolves

A future defensive assistant coach perhaps?

    Nicely done, Minny.

At his peak, he was playing Point Center for the Wolves. And he was effective at it... Legend.

Exactly. People forget, he was the monster of monsters out there in his prime. He hasn't aged as well as Timmy D, but boy when he was 25 he had all sorts of skills and talents that pretty much no big has ever had.

Did you ever watch KG play in his Timberwolves? The guy was definition of a versatile player. I miss watching him play, amazing player in his prime. It's too bad that he only had help one of the years that he played for the Wolves, the rest of the time he had to carry scrubs year in and year out. In those times it was arguable that KG was better than Tim Duncan. I use to think KG was better, but I was a huge KG fan at the time.

It sucks seeing players get old. :(

Yes, KG was a real monster. Shame that bad management hobbled the Timberwolves so much.

Yes he's a fake tough guy, yes he may even be a douche to a certain or great extent. Doesn't change the fact that he was one of the best PF's to ever play the game.

I think people forget how good he was in his prime. He was pretty much right there with Duncan for a long time in the early 00's. Dude used to terrorize us towards the end of Dream's career when he was too slow and lost his athleticism and the transition period where we had worthless PF/C's like Kenny Thomas, MoTay and Kelvin Cato.

KG is a perfect mentor for Maple Jordan.

Its honestly the smartest move the T-Wolves have made in years.

When your core for the next 4 years or so is Rubio (24), Lavine (19), Wiggins (20), Dieng (25), Shabazz (22), and perhaps Bennett (21) you need some veteran guidance. KG wants to own a piece of the Wolves after his career anyhow, he does a year or two of mentoring this team while still playing, its actually a business investment. They have so much raw potential its insane. In 3 years time they may well be a contender. They need a ton of seasoning and growth, but they have an incredibly bright future as an organization. To think they could also add Okafor to this crop is pretty ridiculous.

I agree. There was no use for Young with them, And while I get the feeling Garnett is insane, he does seem like a good veteran who can help the young guys develop.

Also I like that the Wolves honor their former star and let him retire a Wolve. We should have done the same with Dream.
