TJones might be better than DMo, but his shot is ugly as hell. If he wants to be an adequate 3-point shooter, he needs to completely start over. Ugly as yo mama......
DMO no primo.... I was SO excited with DMO originally but it should be PAINFULLY obvious that he is not going to cut it IMO. He looked to be a 7ft. 3 pt. guy (not all that good) but just doesn't bring much to the table I'm afraid. Bill Worrell commented that he "may foul out before half"against the Pelicans. Would love to eat some crow on DMO but I don't think so. He's a square peg in a round hole.
Bill and Clyde seem to have something against DMo anyway. It's fine to say what he does wrong as long as you give him the same run when he is doing well, but that doesn't seem to be the case with them.
They have a point. Most Euro bigs do not pan out or they go one dimensional. It's a different game with more speed, more athleticism, more physicality and a bit less move the ball around. He is inconsistent and will have good games as well but the Rockets need some stability. And I don't think he turned into a defensive beast all of a sudden. I am not sure how much PT he will get to be honest with y'all.
its like D-Mo doesn't play well with T-Jones idk ever since Jones came back D-Mo has been playing like crap. hopefully when Dwight comes back and D-Mo goes back to playing the 4 and Howard the 5 it will get better for all parties. Remember in the beginning of the year D-Mo was trash compared to Jones.
Derp comment, DMo was playing out of position against Pek, Jones was up against a rookie in his first ever NBA start.
DMO better find his confidence and figure out a way to play well when TJ is playing well or Mchale will bench his ass again. DMO was at his best when there was no one there to take his spot. Don't nut up DMO, your career depends on it.
If could morph Jones and DMo together, we would have our third star. DMo is great but his inconsistent rebounding and lack of strength gets so annoying. Jones provides some rim protection and good rebounds but needs to develop his offensive game more. Just a clean up guy now.
god not this debate again. GIVE IT A REST. I am THRILLED to have both DMO and TJONES on our team...they make us better. Both bring different aspects to the team--DMO is a wizard in the paint and a really good defender, Jones is a banger, shot-blocker and good at rebounds. THAT MAKES THE ROCKETS BETTER--ITS NOT ABOUT DOGGING ONE TO ELEVATE THE OTHER. YOU PEOPLE (AHEM) think this is a zero sum game---it isn't. JUST GIVE IT UP. DRAGIC DIDN"T WANT TO BE HERE ANYWAYS so it wasn't happening.
