I bolded what I believe to be the key phrase, "fair or not". I agree that they are being judged, I just believe that it's unfairly. Also Yao breaking down at 25 wasn't inevitable and it couldn't have been predicted. Are injuries more likely the bigger you are? Sure, but that doesn't mean it's inevitable that you'll break down before most players hit their prime. Also, was T-Mac's breakdown predictable? On paper the Rockets made all the right moves to be a championship contender, it just fell apart. I have a hard time blaming people for bad luck.

Also suggesting that an owner that has done nothing in the NBA but ride a HOFer and destroy a championship caliber team would do better is laughable IMO. This whole thing comes down to fans with a short attention span vs fans with a good memory. If I wasn't a Rockets fan I would wish an actual bad owner bought the team so that those kinds of fans would realize what that's like for a while. Have the Maloofs buy the Rockets and we'll see how quickly everyone's opinion of Les changes.

Cuban wins a championship and breaks the team apart ruining their chance of winning again. Les wins a championship and goes out and gets Clyde freakin Drexler and we repeat.

Les is more in this case. Les is all class and Cuban is all ass.

I don't get why people have to make up history and use hyperbole to make a point. "Spit in his face", that shows how you operate and how you need to use hyperbole to make stuff up.

Adelman sucks as a coach with a young team, look at the TWolves.... After going to the second round and losing, the Yao years were over and it was time to rebuild.

This. Les buys the team, wins a chip, trades for Drexler (htown product) and wins another chip.

For guys at 7'4" or taller, it's more than just likely...it's inevitable. I've heard more than one orthopedic surgeon make the exact same comment. And no one in the history of playing in the league at that range of height has avoided those problems. Their career trajectories are nearly identical. Limited minutes by early 30's...out before mid 30's. No exceptions that I'm aware of.

Just because the Maloofs are terrible owners doesn't make Les a good one.

The young kings and the young Blazers and the young rockets

What coach is going to do that well with the TWolves, also rubio was hurt most of the time

At least the TWolves owner was classy to adelman when he retired

He should have retired a Rocket

Am I the only one that thinks tinman hasn't watched a Rockets game since 03? He's all wrapped up in his own weird world. It's like he's forgotten there is actually a team called the Houston Rockets.

I see why Clutch lets him post. He's like a monkey.

"See, after he so viciously let go Rudy T., Les Failexander could have hired anybody in the world. And who does Failexander hire? JVG. When Avery Johnson was sitting right in front of his face! You morons who never wanted Avery Johnson. . . ."

Cuban's money and willingness to spend is an advantage....
Cuban's need to meddle and run the personnel is a detriment....

    Cuban > Les
Cuban n figurehead gm < Les n Morey

All of which had enough talent to make it to the playoffs. You could argue that Minney did too, but they could never get over the hump. Despite Adelman's greatness they sucked in the 4th quarter.

Yao and Tmac were hurt too but we managed to get to the playoffs multiple times under JVG. Perhaps JVG is GOAT?

There's no cure for your butthurt syndrome. Adelman was stubborn and wasn't on board with Morey's roster turnover and rebuilding process. According to you the coach should be put over the organization....

It's funny, no one can correct me or prove me wrong. Just throw insults and put words in my mouth. I'm flattered.

Les got Drexler for Rockets 2nd title. That move ALONE gives Les plenty credibility. Not just on paper and bottom line hardware, but for the hometown heart of Houston fans.

Both Les and Cuban ruined their title winning teams right after winning with questionable moves. Cuban got oddly spendthrift, Les got oddly money motivated.

Cuban errs on side of competitive risk, Les on the side of financial caution. I wont tell a man to overspend millions but the truth is the extra millions results in visible product on the court, while cap savings doesnt.

I do think Mark Cuban in Houston along with Morey would be a killer combo.

    I choose Cuban

I long said that Yao Ming needed to be on the Rik Smits plan, right after his first injury. That is, keep his avg minutes per game under 30 mins. Yao was so good that its tough to keep him out but its what the big man body of work indicated

(I also thought Sean Elliott was superior to Horry even after Big Shot Bob was born. but we'll never know how thatda went, im happy with results anyway)

You mean Cuban plus the GM Les hired would be cooler than Cuban plus the GM Cuban hired. Right?

My lemming Sirbauhu fails to realize that Morey came from the Celtics

I think he believes that Les Alexander was pregnant and gave birth to Daryl Morey

    that did not happen

Hey OP how do you resolve this:

yes seeing you get brutalized is just starting to get more fun.

I know this is a troll thread but..

mental health is a real problem in this country. Apparently OP has been posting from his pillowed room since mid 90's.. lithium.. tranquilizers.. really will do a number on time..space.. etc.

    He also forgot about:

the 2nd championship when les signed drexler. Result OP? we won. Im happy to report. We also swept in the finals it was fun. So yeah we have 2 chips. How many do the mavs have?

OP has been in a time capsule since les got-
    barkley
    pippen
    glen rice
    franchise
    artest
harden (hired morey said yes to the plan)
    howard

les never relenting. what an owner. shame OP was out of it for all that.

Apparently OP also was under severe meds for the part when cuban traded away a guy for money who later turned out to win not one.. but 2 mvps..

    that's right 2--

Apparently OP was in la la land when cuban broke up their only championship for money.

As it stands right now OPs last recollection was the pajama uniforms and perhaps something about an energizer bunny.. gets hazy after that.

Im sure you could say names like purvis short or david wood and it might fire some synapses that we may not want to explore just now.

this is like pouring water on a circuit board... no telling the output.

    no dis assemble stephanie.

    number 5 is alive
