Boyhood really struck out. Only won best supporting actress with Arquette. Kind of surprised. Birdman was pretty good though, this year had some really good movies.
Indeed. He's better than that. Then they got the sympathy clap from the audience. "Hey trust us, we do like black people even though none deserved to be nominated this year....just look at us clapping for Common and John Legend!" Signed, Oscar attendees
You DIDN'T think Legend's speech was cringe worthy? Seriously? People are there for movies. Not to be lectured about how many black people are incarcerated compared to the number of slaves that existed hundreds of years ago in America. Legend should have kept his social opinions out of the Oscars.

Lol. A movie about Eric Snowden won an Oscar. The creator called him a hero and you point out Legend's social opinions? LMAO.
Literally I saw 5 minutes of the Oscars, and I happened to see the Common/Legend speech. I didn't see the creator of the Snowden movie talk. But yeah that's ridiculous. They need to cut the politics and social opinions out of it.
Actually Best Director. Unfortunately that steaming pile of poop called "12 Years a Slave" won last year. Gravity should have cleaned that one up. Mexican Directors are amazing!
