LOL.... so I didn't need tuition for "business school 101" to understand now?

So let me understand, we draft Yao Ming and all of a sudden Les is all about that sponsorship(s)?

Obviously you hear and assume what you want from soundbites:

Is there no possible way, Les is referring to validation of his franchise being popular and successful? It can only mean that Les doesn't care about winning.... even though he "would obviously love to have it".

I love the armchair GMs and now the armchair psycho-analysts who can gleam so much knowledge from a short comment.

No, those with actual basketball knowledge, knows Cuban isn't any better.

I understand why'd you want to tout a public poll....

But in real life, the public ain't that smart....

But hey.... as long as you get the result you desire!

What does the 1 star rating tell you since you love public opinion so much?

Not very helpful. Where are you getting 25 and 250 from, perhaps that's a better place to start....

It takes a lot to put someone on ignore. You can't just scroll down and hit "Put poster on ignore list". You have to goto the control panel and type in some doofus like donkeybongbang until you realize that wasn't his name. So you finally resort to command+C and command+V and put him on there. Then, you realize it was all worth the hassle, considering it as prophylactic treatment for the IQ drop you are likely to get reading his posts. Then you wonder what his real name was, but don't really care as his posts are as irrelevant as he is.

I'll add one little tidbit. If you have to say you're "smart"...you're probably not. Take it from someone that deals with some of the most brilliant and competitive people in the country, on a daily basis. It just shows how much you value dick measuring on a basketball site. Might as well start thinking up a new account.

it's like politics, the unwashed masses want to see you doing something, it doesn't matter if that something is irrational, because so are they. The last thing Les did was push for Jeremy Lin, the last thing Cuban did was massively overpay Parsons and trade for Rondo, in general, interfering owners that usurp their staff's choices make bad basketball decisions.

And for those reasons, we have people thinking they want an owner more like Jim Buss and less like Peter Holt, each to his own i guess.

Wow, throwing in the towel after only a day? Man, I'm that powerful.

Nah I actually saved my password and username this time, didn't have web browsers smart enough to save that info last time I created my account.

I'm smart enough to know you're posting history, and have been around here much longer than you to know other people's posting history. You've been consistently a chicken little.

I don't think I'm the smartest person on here, not by far, but I know more about basketball than you and Tinman. I wouldn't need to be "around or deals with the most competitive and brilliant people in the country" to know that.

You haven't even been able to counter my points, just throwing out the same old negative soundbites. You lack context and view basketball in a vacuum.

Would I have Tmac over Steve Francis , yes
Would I have Tmac over Kobe, no
Would I have Tmac over LeBron, no

I hope I would be different after 10 years, the only that doesn't change is that I still am on this board for the exact same reason it was started

Naturally, with new "off-court" team personnel, you get excited. Though, most times, it's bittersweet.

As for what I'd want: I have to trust the owner to make the right moves. Can't go through life as a fan thinking all will go wrong. I'm not wired that way.

    What's the truth again?

Oh yeah, Mark Cuban would be better for the Rox, assuming he didn't hire a bunch of Mav-type players. Why would he? He never hired a bunch of Mavs before! Ew, I would hate if he hired a whole bunch of Mavs. But why would he do that? He'll just take all the players Les hired and just . . . be better, you know.

Hi I'm just wondering if you agreed with me that only the playoffs matter, so we can shut up about McHale until them.

Dude, let's hear the "core of your argument." That thing sounded badass. I'm gonna get my ass kicked by you, but it will be worth it.

Ha ha ha ha. Corey Brewer, too. Maybe he's trying to get whatever he can from the Mavs 2011 title team. Didn't he and Morey offer Dirk a max deal, too?

Weren't we paying lux tax a few years ago?

He was about to let Morey max Bosh and then go over the cap to match the max Parsons. Pretty sure filling out that roster would've put us over the threshold.

My only point was Cuban is too hands on. He is smart and it has worked to one title but I would rather basketball guys make basketball decisions. Otherwise you would end up with stupid decisions like letting Steve Nash walk to sign Eric Dampier or maxing Chandler Parsons or winning a title and then immediately breaking it up. Honestly I would probably watch a different team if a douchebag like that owned my team.
