The Lakers resigned Kobe and knew that they would suck big time, but they did it anyway cause Dr Buss takes care of his own who did for the organization.

I respect the late Dr Buss for doing that.

But, you and I are different. I loved having living legends on our team. That said, I won't shed tears when they are "let go". If Harden became the 3rd best SG ever behind MJ and Kobe, and we dropped him when he turned 38:

    PEACE, Bearded One!

This has been my squad since I was a 5 year old. First NBA game I ever attended, watched on TV, etc. Love them forever. I can dislike a trade, and all that good stuff, but I have to - HAVE TO - remember that it's business.

We do know it's a business and Cuban is a better business man.

Because Shark, I believe you to be a Rockets fan who is true to Clutch City,
what would happen if we got a new owner? what would you want?

LOLOLOLOL.... I'm sure Kobe has benefited greatly financially from being a Laker, he should have taken one for the team if you wanted to retire there. I can see why you like Cuban so much.... bad contracts over what's best for the team.

this really isn't even debatable. I don't know why the idiots keep wasting their time thinking they are better fans for supporting an owner who prioritizes marketing $$ over team succes---> contrary to the other choice even though he maybe a douche.

Stop being blind followers and open your eyes.

Mark Cuban decided to hire all the Mavs, every single one.

Charlie Villanueva and Mark Cuban are in a legal relationship. In fact, Mark Cuban has 100 times more responsibility for the roster than does the GM. He is in legal relationships with all those Mavs, and he is paying them millions of dollars to be Mavs. And you like what Cuban has been doing for the past 15 years, more than what Les has been doing. . . .

Blind of what? You trolls who consistently are negative? Our last superstars couldn't stay healthy and we had to "rebuild". Had to rebuild after Hakeem with some high draft picks and players who didn't turn out. Part of the game.

I think you and Tinman aren't made for being pro sports fans or you should become Boston fans.... that's a sports town. Being a Houston sportsfan isn't for the weak..... so......

If Les disguised his turd in a rockets uni and had it rotting on the bench, I'm sure you guys would still be ok.

Tinman, they don't see the truth. Some of these fans want to sit around and sing kumbaya while their owner is content with pocketing regular season $$$.
For the rest of us that have spend thousands of dollars on tickets and merchandise, its not so easy to accept.

"Yeah man! Les Alexander is not responsible at all for signing a contract with James Harden. . . . I mean, all the guys would have come here even without a contract from Les Alexander. Cuban is way better, but they would have come to the Rox instead of the Mavs even without Les Alexander's signature. You guys are like teletubbies of basketball.

"It totally makes no sense to love the Rockets and then think that the guy who is paying a $72 million payroll plays any role whatsoever in making the Rockets. Can you just get over the fact that Les is paying these guys $72 million dollars, and Cuban is paying the Mavs players $76 million dollars? That has nothing to do with the reality of the situation! Dang. Go take a business class, blind followers."

Then don't spend the money! If you disagree with how a company or organization is being ran, than the worst thing you can do is support it. Like it or not, by buying product, you are supporting.

So here is the solution to your predicament:

Man up, stop watching the Rockets or buying merchandise, because you obviously have all the information needed to determine that Les is a greedy b*stard that doesn't care about the fans.

That's right..... Just keep talking without responding to any of my points..... Go be a Knicks fan if you want your owner to spend whatever money is needed "to win".

At least admit you're a troll on here, be a man.

First, I don't think you understand the concept of profit. Spending millions of dollars isn't a big deal if you own a freaking NBA team and will only go into minor loss in the down years (he still wouldn't let Morey tank despite this). In the not so down years, you make a profit. Look up how profitable the rockets are before you start crying about poor old Le$. You know why he wants to sign losers like Melo instead of building a cohesive team that has a well balanced plan of attack? Spending millions of dollars on a big name chucker gets guys like you to spend more and goto the games even if it doesn't help the team in terms of success. You know why he specifically asked for an uptempo offense that shoots a lot of 3s and doesn't prioritize defense? Because in his words, its "fun to watch." Thats what he wants. Now this year, "We don't need to get out of the 1st round." If you don't see where all that leads to, I don't know how many more bread crumbs can lead you on the trail.

"Yes, I too am pissed that Les Alexander wants to make a profit. It's downright . . . un-American. Do you see Mark Cuban wanting to make profits?

"I like Mark Cuban better than Les Alexander, but I'm giving thousands of dollars to Les Alexander. What's up with that? Les Alexander sucks for making me give him thousands of dollars, even though he is way richer than me already. I just prefer Cuban's product but I'm in a struggling phase of fan confusion. . . .

"Don't be a blind follower! If you gave thousands of dollars to the wrong guy, sign my petition!"

    Sincerely,
    Rox - Alexander + Cuban = Champoinship!!!!

    99ers are logical people.

Let's say you know someone like sirbaihu and you hate this guy cause he's a fake Rockets fan.

However, he's an excellent car washer.

would you let him wash your car?

I would, and I would give him 5 bucks so he can buy piece for bread at toyota center
