What's is going to take to get Brandon Knight? NOP pick and Shved? He has the best contract flexibility for us to move in for Durant in 2016. It makes too much sense.
With all these PGs having changed teams, it's tough to come up with quality PGs that *might* become available in the near future AND be a good fit next to Harden (good defensively, decent off the ball, some playmaking capabilities) Rubio may be the only one (if his improved 3P shooting is real). Gotta think the Rockets will try to make a play for him at the draft with the Pelicans pick, TJones, Capela + whatever. Gotta cash those assets in at some point. Howard Motiejunas J.Smith Ariza Brewer Harden McDaniels Rubio Beverley would be pretty neat.
I think this thread made a trade demand after Paging Cyberex got all of the P.T. I guess it is time for the Random Trade Thread Appreciation Thread.
So I was looking at a list of recent Free Agents and was surprised to see that Andrew Bynum only just turned 27? It feels like he's been in the league for an eternity...
The fact that they didn't go for it really makes me question Howards health going forward. If they thought he would be back and ready to go for the playoffs , I have to think they would have done more to win now. We'll just have to wait and see ..
somehow, after the finding out we didnt trade for someone significant, I got the same feeling. DM and FO decided take their time until the season ends because they knew Howard would never be 100% this year. Therefore, there wont be any chance for us to go far in the play off. They'd rather wait and go after their 3rd star through trades or free agency in the off season. In my personal believe, DM would have traded D Mo for a quality PG which we desperately need (we would still hv smith and TJ) but it wouldnt make sense if we cant compete anyway. Might as well wait another year. Just my personal thoughts.
Kind of going out to left field on this one but how feasible would it be to trade up to draft D'angelo Russel on draft day. Philly now has the Lakers pick for this year and if somehow they are able to retain it from the protection they could possibly have two picks in the top 6 of the draft I think Russel is just the perfect potential backcourt mate for Harden with his excellent playmaking and outside shooting combo. I just don't think there is anybody out there that is attainable over the next couple years that can really improve the position now that Dragic is out of the question. The only semi feasible PG out there to grab is Rubio and I'm not sure the timberwolves are looking to move him at any cost I know I'll probably get flamed for including D-mo by a lot of posters, and while i do think he is a very solid player, I think for the most part he is a little overrated by a lot of the board Would a package of the NOP 1st(hopefully move up to the 10th-11th pick) Dmo, and another future first possibly come close to getting the job done?
