I've seen nothing but speculation on here from Hollic. So it would be nice to see if Cyberx knows something on the whole situation in Brooklyn. Not just D-Will to Houston related.

I'll say this about JopatHollic- The guy often looks for smoke, but he claims to know everything about the fire that might or might not be going on in the house. But he definitely sniffs around for smoke more than anyone.

The Brooklyn franchise sale thing is really where things get interesting because it can alter everything about the moves they might or might not make. Waiving and stretching Deron Williams seems like a terrible idea, and one that a prospective buyer would never want to have happened before buying the team, but who knows. I want to hear what's going on there since even one of their big name guys getting bought out or waived will have an impact on the playoff race either way.

Bro if you don't know them is obviously not true. You post almost every rumor, interview, recaps from legit cf insiders, etc.

"Looking for smoke" = looking around the NBA and applying his wild fanatical theories and conspiracies to the front offices around the league and then claiming that he is "hearing things" from his people. But he's not an insider. Sometimes his zany ideas are a lot of fun and sometimes they make you want to bang your head on the desk.

Yeah, I'm interested to hear the clarification. Because if they feel what happened to cyberx after reporting that the Nuggets were intrigued by such a God-awful trade that it would be laughed off a Real GM board is beyond the pale, I'll follow it too I guess. I'd just be very surprised and disappointed in it.

It appeared that Cyberx's response to the comments was an overeaction.

After seeing that he was apparently reacting to a neg rep comment, which was over the line, he was justified in his actions.

Anonomyous rep, or heck just comments in rep, need to go IMO.

So much money left on Dwill's contract. Really hard to believe a buyout could be worked out between them.

Well, some of us have long advocated for reps to not be anonymous. :)

I posted this in another thread, but I wanted to hear what you guys thought. I could be completely off-base with these thoughts, but it sounds right to me.

Did CyberX ever come back after he got irritated and signed off?

Or did Codman take his place as the premier insider for the moment.

I know that beyond twitter Doc Rocket has not posted here in a while, at least as Doc Rocket.....

cyberx is posting here because he wants to, just like any of us. And he can leave if he wants to also, just like any of us. He deserves to be treated with respect to the same degree as any of us do.

I don't see any reasons to question his honesty. But I also don't see a lot of that going on. Mostly people question the merits of the rumored proposals themselves or whether one of these teams actually has interest/incentive to make the deal.

This is the case of the DEN-LAL rumor he shared-- I didn't doubt that cyberx heard what he heard, I just didn't honestly believe that Denver would find Jordan "The MAN" Hill intriguing because Jordan Hill's basketball skill are crap. This goes with most of the comments that I see. If these simple comments are annoying enough to cyberx to make him want to leave, so be it. I just don't see those are being inappropriate.

Personally, I feel people who attack legitimate insiders should have their feet torn off and shoved into their mouths. Hopefully Clutch will do the next best thing and permaban those asshats.

Appreciate your basketball postings Carl but frankly when you try to justify your name calling and personal attacks it makes your look even worse than the original personal attack you imposed on another poster not to mention the rest of us that want to talk basketball. You of all people here should know better by now. The best thing to do would be to apologize for that crap and then shut up about it instead of justifying it.

That seems a bit excessive for someone calling a Lin/Hill for Lawson/Chandler proposed deal awful. If someone not named cyberx had posted that in the random trades thread, they'd have been rightfully laughed off the board.

Lol I see people still getting into their feelings when it's concerning cyberx.

It is ok if people don't believe in him and it's ok if they do believe in him.

I am talking about the asshats who attacked CyberX and also left him anonymous rep like the genitalia lacking cowards that they are. Insiders only benefit our community and we should take steps to make sure they feel welcomed here.

I'm good, bud. I don't have "sources." I have friends that work directly with players and agents.

I get to hear it all from them. It's nice being the "ear." You can't fault me for hearing. I don't make the decisions, but I know what's being discussed.

You ever hear of a smoke screen? It's chess, not checkers.

    I'll trust my sources.

Thank you though. I appreciate your candor.

Blame the site feature, not the people who decide to abuse it. Those people will always exist and it should either be accepted as such or the ad mins should collectively decide to change the site structure to make it more 'accommodating' for these insiders. I feels really high school to me when people complain aboUT anonymous rep comments. It's just giving those agitators more fuel.

Why do we get so violent on a freaking sports forum. People will always question things they don't believe no matter who it comes from.

Some of you folks really takes things a little too serious. Bwhahaha

It's a coward's move. It's like sucker punching someone from behind and running off. Validated insiders absolutely do need to be protected as they are a boon to our community. They help provide an insight into the activities and thought process of management, which is far more valuable than the random isolated pearls of wisdom from say any 1999 member.
