It is not Priogioni. Morey always surprises. When expectations are high, he comes up with a very small move.

When expectations are down, he may have an ace up his sleeve

I have a hard time making sense of this one. I am assuming the second rounders are from the Rockets and Morey expects them to be very late 2nd rounders. But it still seems a high price to pay for a guy who is 37 years old.

Definitely disappointed we couldn't get Dragic, Knight, Isaiah Thomas, or Augustin.

You can bet he will be both getting and taking more open threes on the Rockets than with the Knicks.

Count me in the with the "I like this trade" group! Yes, he's as old as dirt, but he still shoots the ball fairly well, has a defense mentality, and is more of a traditional point guard! Let's face it, we really didn't give much at all for him, Shved was super glued to the bench and the 2 second round picks are a dime a dozen with Maurice in charge! Maybe a change of scenery will turn the clock back a couple of years on him and he ends up being a steal! This looks like a low-cost high reward type of trade to me!

Good point about the picks. We kept the best of them, the Knicks 2nd, and Morey most likely will get more second rounders by the time these 2 come up. Probably better than ours will be.

I personally feel he will be the best shooter we have on the team, not that the bar is set very high.

Knew he could shoot, but reading about his playmaking and decent defense is nice. Should save Harden some energy whether they're on-court together or by limiting James' minutes. Two less minutes/game would do wonders for Beard come playoff time.

I voted no due to the underwhelming nature of the deal. I'm not convinced he's even going to crack the rotation.

But the trade itself isn't bad. As others have already pointed out, Shved is worthless and those picks aren't a factor right now. I just expected more from our greatest position of need.

Will this guy eventually take over starting duties?

This one is a real head scratcher. I don't see the point of this.

I wish he was 27 and not 37. Another vet in the locker room should be good though.

I really like the addition. I am glad Morey is letting our players get more chemistry. With Pablo here, I think we have solidify back up PG. This allows Terry to move to SG. Beverley will step it up knowing that he will not be traded and his starting position is secured. Watch him explode. Pablo can play D, shoot 3's and actually play w/ some head when we have leads and not make dumb plays. I always liked when Terry would come in games but now I am going to love it even more w/ pablo there. We will all fall in love w/ his effort. I think McHale's rotation will include.

    PG: Beverley/Pablo/JT
    SG: Harden/KJ/JT
    SF: Ariza/Brewer/Kpap
    PF: D-MO/JS/TJ
    C: Dwight/JS/TJ/Dorsey

Thats 13 players. I think McHale will like to play 8 man rotation, with KJ, KPap, Dorsey out that gives us 10 players. TJ minutes will go down while pablo and JT will suffer some DNP.

Also If morey is trying to bring in players that are bought out, than i don't know where he will get the minutes.

Coming from the Argentina way of playing basketball, he will be all out hustle and play pesky D like Ginobli. I hope he gets some PT.

@haralabob: @HerringWSJ he's slow. Overpasses rarely takes an open shot Can't stay in front of anyone and over fouls on defense like it's his job

Take it for what it's worth but that's Bob voulgaris's take. Not to say he hasn't been wrong before but he's is on point more often than not.

Only downside I see is his age. Other than that... He can dish and he can shoot. Maybe run an offense in 2nd unit. What's to lose?

The guy is as old as dirt. When Beverley inevitably goes down with an injury, how do we split the point guard duties between the two fossils in Prig and Jet? Neither are equipped to play more than 15-20 mins.
