At this point, who knows. I'm disappointed. These moves do nothing for me. Augustin, IT, Knight etc along with some bigs were all out there and now going to other teams. In Morey I don't trust at this point. Haven't trusted him and the front office for a while now. Oh well...
Lol, that tends to happen when your team is only good in the regular season... For the last 18 years. We're realistic, I mean eventually you get beat down enough to know better. Sure our GM is good at math, but who gives a **** if he doesn't get us to the 2nd round. Have to get out of that first round in order to win a chip, haha. We're still waiting.
Hopefully Les/Morey sign Dorsey to a 5 year Ext asap, you know in case another team is interested in him in the off-season (probably some D-League team).
I think they are solid moves... Prigioni and Terry can hit threes when Bev isnt... McDaniels is a question mark but who knows. I think it keeps us at 4 but keeps us better than Dallas our most likely first round opponent wish we could have traded for a big i think we will cross that bridge when we get there if Dwight isnt healthy. Maybe get Perkins im sure he would be bought out or maybe Clint might get a lil burn since we need to make up some of the d we missing without Dwight...
Definitely not. And the weird thing is (IMO) the McDaniel trade makes us less flexible and costs us an asset. I don't understand it at all.
I think this deadline says more about Dwight's health than what was available. Morey keeping the Pelicans pick means we're most likely going to use that pick, unless a draft-day deal that seems unlikely.
given his track record of lottos, I'd say we're ****ed. Oh, and we could really use a C right about now...like that Omer guy.
After seeing the Mavs turn it on in losing effort to the Spurs last year, I'd prefer not to face them. It'd probably be like the 05 series all over again, except this time the refs might not screw us, because this time it'd be our mediocre playoff performance/effort... Then we'd have to listen to the Parsons signing being the whole reason, blah blah.
Daryl Morey dont play ball though! 2013 we were just and up and coming team, last year we HAD the potential but we, THE TEAM, let it slip by not respecting the Blazers enough, starts with coaching and Harden, 2009 come on, one injury after another yet we took the champs to 7 with basically a 2nd unit team, 2004-08 that wasnt Morey's team yet. It's not all on the gm, we have to go out and show out in the playoffs dont give a damn who is on the floor. Look I know our flaws, I know this team needs major, MAJOR improvement in all roster spots, but you get these guys motivated enough to play for something big, them b****es better watch out. Not trying to sound homer or anything like that but lets ride it out with this team.
I agree with you on 09, that injury to Mac and then eventually Yao in game 4... was crushing, I really think even without Mac, Houston had a legit shot to beat the Lakers until Yao was hurt. And I know it's not all on Morey, and I'll definitely watch them and support them win/lose, just really like to see the team get somewhere this post-season.
What I don't get is why do we even bother to trade for Pab? He is 37. Is that a joke or Morey is just pretending he is dealing.
It seems Morey analytic said you get 2, maybe 3 years to do something for rookies and 1 to 2 years for non-rookies. If not, bye bye. Keep repeating that strategy and keep hoping to land super stars. Once we have the stars, McHale is going to make everything clicks.
We clearly aren't in win now mode. Some of the West's top teams took a hit of adrenaline this trade deadline and got better. Our win now thoughts ended when Dwight became non-Dwight. I believe we're in a holding pattern until 2016 and Dwight comes off the books. Harden will only be hitting his prime then.
Really don't seem like it. We still didn't address our glaring needs. But I guess making small moves and not tampering with your rotation is a good thing.
