Les Alexander does spend money, you know a guy named Chandler Parsons? We got him because Les bought a pick. How about a guy named Donatas Motiejunas? We got that because the Rox absorbed the rest of Johnny's Flynn's contract (and gave Rick Adelman one of his fave players Brad Miller). Les' spending has resulted in tangible things which paying the luxury tax hasn't, the year before they won a ring Cuban paid 10M for a backup center in Haywood, did that pan out? Can you consider that a wise investment? For Cuban that amount of money is negligible but for someone like Alexander who "only" has a networth of 1.2B paying 10M is already 10% of his money gone, to a normal person that would be like $10K down the drain for what? I guess you can curse ALexander for only being worth 1.2B but then why don't you become a trillionaire so you can buy the ROx instead of him? All I can say is I'm glad Alexander is a good owner who doesn't sell of the Rox assets for cash like Chicago or the Suns do.

Clarence Weatherspoon adn Luther Head are due to Rox being capped out paying Yao Ming and Tmac, you act like the Rox had all this capspace they weren't just using. The luxury tax= winning is a myth, look at NYC and Portland and Brooklyn how much money have they thrown into lux tax and has it done anything to increase their wins?

FYI Spurs only paid the tax 1 season and they have had, like 5 rings. It's not about how much money you put into the lux tax but how you spend it.

Mark Cuban is a whiny, childish goofball. He would make our team better but after all of these years of watching him on a rival team, it would mean selling our souls.

You might want to think about this.

(10M is less than 1% of 1.2 billion.)

Kenny smith made shots that helped the rockets win championships. Maybe you need to brush up on your rockets history.

Barkley had one good season here. He was not a "great" Rocket. He's spent the last decade bashing the organization. Why you choose to defend Barkley while never mentioning Drexler (a guy that helped win a title for Houston) is puzzling. Maybe you had a bad experience with him. Barkley's career here was short and mostly unremarkable.

You can keep repeating the myth that the Mavericks were in terrible shape until your hero Mark Cuban arrived and I'll keep repeating : Dirk Nowitzki, Steve Nash, and Michael Finley were all Mavericks before Cuban arrived.

Tired ass comments about my rockets history and other posters. Quit being selective about who is and isn't Rockets royalty. Just FYI it's 2015 guess who still owner of the team? Guess who sits next to him at half court? Maybe you should brush up on your Rockets present.

The rockets present is that we didn't get the guys we wanted in chris bosh and carmelo Anthony and never got rondo .
the present is we didn't get amare.

No it's not selective. It's that i clearly know much more about the rockets than you.

Why would he make our team better as a owner? Clearly a majority believes he would

I apologize to Roslolian for my glib , off-the-cuff comment. It was an unfortunate mischaracterization.

Lol yeah sure, Keep telling yourself that. When a team fails it's on the owner so it should be the same when they succeed.

Since Mr. Clutch, Wink Fan, and others have corrected your mistatements and pro-Cuban propaganda, the race as significantly narrowed. It is still a small sample, however. Hopefully, more plan to vote during their lunch break and after work.

You truly are attached to les or your refuse to acknowledge that cuban has turned around a horrible organization.

There are countless articles about how he has done this.

tell me rocket fan why does this hit a raw nerve?

You realize it's 50% on a rockets site for cuban. On an unbiased site it would be closer to 75 or 90

    You said failed.

I say les Alexander got an organization that was carefully built by steve Patterson and reached its peak and won championships.

Look up the history to see if I'm telling you the truth.

What does les do? He fires the GM, then changes the uniforms to really ugly ones.

Then during the struggle to get a new arena he sends rockets officials to Louisville to see if they can build him a arena full of luxury suites.

The same type of arena people on clutchfans b****es about having too many business clients.

I can name dadakota and heypartner and countless others that disagree with you. Some really long time rockets fans not the ones who are obsessed with the tmac yao era.
Let's give it a week or so for the results. People who even remember charlie Thomas

    Enough with riding Cuban's tip!

A new level of patheticness is revealed here.
