Harden is on a different level than last year. Remember how poorly and inefficient he played in last years playoffs? A PG would surely help, but if Harden can get going in the playoffs, I like our chances to win it all.
Ya, but lose two games in a row and be dropped to 7th. In a race this tight, even a small upgrade can make a difference.
Without a legit playmaker next to him, Harden is going to be tired in the playoffs and then will run into teams that will run their entire defense at him. As currently constructed, the Rockets playoff success will rely exclusively on whether or not Trevor Ariza and the bench brigade are making their 3 point shots. That doesn't give me a lot of hope.
why all the doom and gloom? DId you see the woj tweet about Sac getting cold feet? Seems like Morrey will be the last man standing and the price will be a bargain. Am I the only one excited? ..
This will be my last post on the subject, because if I keep arguing I am going to be trying to hold back a flood with my bare hands... I want a PG upgrade. This team will be better with a PG upgade. Will we go farther in the playoffs with a PG upgrade? Yes. Are we ****ed? No.
The guys who believe this are the same guys who believe Amare(unhealthy for the last 4 years!) is going to make a difference with Dallas... Those people stopped watching basketball several years ago apparently. You know, similar to guys like Dragic who apparently still think LA, NYK, and Mia are the marquee teams.
Forget this. I am not losing belief that we can win a championship with a healthy Dwight, a improved DMO, and hungry JSmoove, and a good bench..... Trying to look at the bright side of things. Tired of being let down in FA/Trade Deadline.
Knight or Lawson, get it done Moreeeey! If not, I'm totally fine with drafting the 2016 ROTY in the upcoming draft. No pressure Morey-o, I have faith in you!
If he realizes he is in for a big rebuild and a contender will sign him and give him starters minutes, he might take less to rebuild his value now and hit the free agent market where he could choose his destination and likely recoup the difference.
Exactly...I don't think people realize how big of a move Amare to Dallas was. When teams like Dallas make a move (signing that fell into their lap a la JSmith with us) to get better, other teams have to also do something to get better in order to counter.
I agree. Although it would be nice to get a nice upgrade at the PG position I think we should trust in Canaan a bit more and give him some PT. Maybe he can be our Sam Cassell?? I think we need a Big way more than a PG. The West is just so stacked with big guys and we will have to face a few of them come playoff time if we plan on making a run at a ring. Having Dorsey as our backup C just isnt going to cut it. Especially if Dwight can't get healthy. Fingers crossed but WHAT IF Dwight can't come back? We need to seriously think about that possibility.
The offset rules would make it VERY difficult for him to recoup the difference unless the buyout was for a huge percentage of his actual salary, like I said.
Stop kissing up!... Spoiler I want to personally express my gratitude for your generosity!!! Codman/Doc Rocket/cyberx for president!!!... ....... ....... .......
UPDATE: Rockets biggest move this deadline will be sending Johnson and Capela back to the RGV vipers!!! News just broke!!!! This deadline is a joke! Morey hits us with another Hamilton deadline
