Didn't some PHX "insider" post earlier that Gogi was partially upset b/c Suns weren't giving Zoran PT / wanted to send him to the D-League?
Been in the league about 8 years. He's only 26. Makes 8-9 mill a year. I think he's a huge bargain for what he does.
So taking a look at a few of the suggested tidbits released tonight: -Doc Roc mentioned mentioned Henson repeatedly -Doc Roc mentioned mentioned Lawson repeatedly -Cyberx says we will put ourselves in a position for Durant. -Cyberx says we will ask Dwight to opt out in favor of a long term deal -Both mentioned Martin If Keeping flexibility open open for Durant is key, then obviously Morey is going to target guys that expire next year or have options on the 2016-2017 season. The following guys are guys which follow that mold (Bolded have been in rumors): Spoiler Foye, Gallo, McGee, Hickson, Jennings, Butler, Augustin, Mahinmi, West, J.Hill, Mayo, Illyasova, Zaza, Bud, Martin, Rhino, Gordon, Young, Tucker, Plumlee, Vasquez, Ross, Booker, Novak, etc. Now, obviously there is a balance between keeping the Durant option open now and putting forth a contender, but I think we can do both, which is probably what Morey is angling for. Hypothetical Scenarios: Lets suppose we make the following trades: http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=nycqnkd (Trade includes NOP pick going to Denver) http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=oovz4d4 (Trade includes 2nd round pick going to Bucks) If we can sign back Brewer, Beverley, and Smith for one year deals. For the next year , we would have the following lineup: Lawson / Beverley / Johnson Harden / ???? Ariza / Brewer Dmo / Smith / Ilyasova Howard / Henson So, going into the summer of Durant, assuming the following: -81m cap -if we convince Dwight to opt out and take a five year 65 million dollar deal, -Dmo holds off on signing an offer sheet and not Parsons us. We could squeeze Durant in with cap space: Spoiler Potential lineup for 2016-2017 Lawson / Johnson Harden Durant Dmo Howard
