Sigh while this is to be expected you can't punt this year and next with Howard's health in question.
With the wayhis attitude is progressing, Durant is going to be the new media ultra-villain by 2016 and will fit in nicely here.
Not only that, but every team in the league except for the one with Lebron on it will go "hard for Durant" in 16. We can do both.
Then it probably doesn't make sense for the Rockets to view Goran as anything more than a rental. I have no doubt they are still pursuing him hard, but if they will go for Dragic, and not Lawson because Lawson's contract runs too long that probably means they are truly not worried about retaining him after this year.
Honestly, if Knight is available the Rockets should try and get him. Young, already showing great skills, plays off the ball well as he can shoot. Get him and out backcourt is set for the next decade. Might be better than the splash bros, in my opinion.

I say trade Papa and 2nd rounder for a filler guard and brace up for the playoffs. Dragic is not worth it and Lawson prevents us from having a chance at Durant. Brandon Knight would be ideal but Bucks aren't likely to trade him.
What does Lawson make? I don't think his salary is enough to keep us out of Durant sweepstakes in 16.

The Howard hate is overrated. Malone hated Kobe, Shaq hated Kobe and everybody hated Kobe. Durant really doesn't even hate Howard it is moreso players try to get in Howard's head.
I just want to know who exactly is a serious contender for a Dragic deal. No one has emerged as a favorite yet.
