I agree with this. There is a very, very good chance the Suns call Dragic's bluff and try to retain him this Summer. You wait on Dragic and there is a good chance you get burned. Look up what Lawson is really really good at and you might be surprised who the better fit actually is next to Harden. (BETTER shots for Harden & co. Not Less shots).
Best deal they have is Hill/Clarkson & Rockets pick You tell me folks. Would you rather have that offer or - Expiring Salary (take you pick), Jones or D-Mo, Pelles pick, and NY 2nd rounder? There is no reason why Morey shouldn't do this deal.[/QUOTE] The only reason is probably the reluctancy to add D-Mo to this deal, either way Tjones beats the lakers offer, but i seriously doubt milwaukee isn't in this either and have assets that might entice den...Mayo, Illysova, Henson, Knight etc... Knight could def be our plan C behind lawson and dragic...
There are so many PGs out there that I would be shocked if we didn't land one of them. George Hill might actually be the best fit but that argument is for another day.
And I agree with this. Also, he's already tied up, so no concerns this summer. Less salary, so we can also add more pieces. We can then go after a good backup for Harden (maybe we can get Affalo too, or Martin/Crawford/Mayo/Allen) and a backup Center also.
If Boston was interested in Gogi, why wouldn't they be interested in Boston? I think would probably be the frontrunners.
@BenDuBose: @dyslexicsports Just watched video. Interesting he said "no" when asked if he had a list, then said his agent and team were working on it... Seee

Goran killed it for you. Sorry! Best of luck!
Its very hard to actually gauge where we stand right now but if for instance we could A) Get Ty lawson as soon as shved is eligible to be traded so he can be added to another expiring along with jones and the NO pick B) Wait to see what the suns do with Dragic and risk Losing Lawson C) Give up fewer assets to help facilitate a deal that nets you a player like Knight Which would you choose
The fact that we often have the best package, or near best package in these situations, without taking a significant hit in talent is a testament to the work Morey puts in. Hopefully we come out with something that helps the team.
I'd be okay giving them our 2017 first and either the NYK or DEN 2nd rounder (maybe even both). That NYK pick could easily be the first pick in the second round which is seen as being more valuable than late first round picks in some cases.
