IF he takes that buyout, it will be one of the studiest things I have seen a player do. Losing 27 million? SMDH

What do you mean? Kidd actually has that team playing great. Sanders is the nut case here.

To him its not losing 27$ mill. It's being paid $13mill to do nothing but smoke weed.

Hope Woj is wrong. Rockets need a true starter at 5 if Howard is not available in post season. Sanders acquisition for peanuts just stinks of Morey. Cuban is pissing his shorts now, chomping at the bit to sign this guy ahead of Morey.

    Rockets also hard-capped.

It's probably best for him that the money they are paying him will be stretched out of over seven years. That means we shouldn't hear "former NBA player Larry Sanders broke, homeless" for eight years.

No way in hell to risk the money for a guy with this type of mindset. Clearly Basketball isn't part of his future.

I'd say give him an offer and the first sign of him screwing up just cut him.

Sanders needs to find Royce White and go drive around the country with him. NO THANK YOU.

Finally saner minds prevail. Not many teams will give him much more than vet min especially this late in year. If he becomes a problem, then cut him.

The reward FAR outweighs the risk.

The same yahoos who are screaming in righteous indignation and rushing to judgement are much the same who did not want Josh Smith. They were wrong then, they will be wrong with Sanders.

The guy doesn't want to play ball. He just took a 27M hit just to not play ball why would anybody even bother.

    Sanity is denial?

In NHL circles there's a well known story of a 1st overall pick (Alexandre Daigle) who decided he didn't want to play hockey any more. Dude had Wayne Gretzky talent and a Larry Sanders heart. Wasted many teams' money for many years because of rationalizations like yours.

Most recently, there was Royce White. Sometimes the risk DOES outweigh the reward. If this was training camp I'd be less worried about a chemistry bomb - but not mid-season.

Life is good on the Rockets. We're not desperate! Larry Sanders isn't going to take us to the next level.

Smith is a poor analogy. His main issue wasn't behavior / off-the-court issues. That's a common (and unfortunate) misconception.
