I am a big Goran fan, but Lawson might be a "better deal," more bang for the buck. I would be thrilled with either one.
To get rid of McGee they would do it. Denver looks like they want a total house cleaning. Afflalo, Chandler, Hickson all available. Houston would need to clean out all of our assets to appease both Philly and Denver though. Hinkie might go for it as an excuse to tie up his cap and get assets like Capela, Cannan, Knicks 2nd rounder etc.
Philly needs at least onefirst to take on mcgee. And rightflly so. At least with lee he can still be useful on the team mcgee is a clown and a bad influence to embiid.
I'd stand Pat before giving up Capela, Canaan and Nick Johnson. I can live with some of those other losses.
You missed my double entendre (Pat vs. pat). I don't mind a trade for some of those tradable assets (J. Terry, Schved) but they won't get the deal done. Hate to lose our young guys...
I said the same thing about Lamb before we eventually traded him (along with other assets) for Harden. If one or all of those players are needed in a trade to upgrade a position of need then you do it.
Harden for Martin/Lamb was like for like... and an upgrade! Capela is a BIG with great potential. Please no!
Ty Lawson Misses Nuggets' Practice Returning From Vegas It seems like Lawson needs to get his life straight.
Agree, if they can't get Dragic. That salary is actually likely to be a very good value in 2016 at $13.2M. Having Lawson, Harden, Ariza, DMo, and Capela, plus at least $45M in cap room for 2016 sounds pretty darn good to me. If Howard decides he can risk the extra year to keep that contender together without breaking the cap room a new deal might bring, then you you still have almost $25M to round out that team. Pretty solid for the future and makes us much better contenders for this year and next.
Although I hope I am wrong, I really don't think we as Rockets fans can count on Dwight Howard as our night to night center. It looks like his career has been cut off at the knees.

Chris Broussard @Chris_Broussard Sources: Lakers interested in Ty Lawson as well as Goran Dragic What the hell do the Lakers have to give up for Lawson that we don't? Get in on this Morey.
If it takes taking McGee to get Lawson... dump Javelle in Phillie and grab Lawson... Terrys expiring/KPap/TJones/Pelies pick/JRich expiring to Denver McGee + NY 2nd to Phillie Lawson to Hou... and you can always sweeten the deal by tossing in Capela or Njohnson if desired... easy peasy...
