    Since the agent for Goran Dragic told Phoenix Suns management on Tuesday night that his client would not re-sign with the team this summer and wants a trade before Thursday's league deadline, the acrimony between the two camps has only grown. The Suns have no interest in trading Dragic to his preferred choices of the Lakers and New York Knicks. They don't have the assets that interest the Suns. The Suns are looking at teams like Boston, Houston, Sacramento, others who are stepping forward who may be willing to trade for Dragic without a promise he'll re-sign.

    basically just said the same things you see in his tweets.... that phx doesn't want to trade dragic to his dream places (NY, LA, MIA) because they have no assets that phx wants.... he said us, sacto, and boston still trying to get a deal done

    Seems most of his reported "preferred destinations" don't really have anything that they'd be willing to offer the Suns, either because of a lack of assets or an unwillingness to give up what assets that they have just to get Goran a few months earlier + get the right to offer him the 5th year.

    I think a lot of those teams would rather NOT have the 5th year available because most people don't think he is actually worth that max.

    So, if you think he might bolt his team and leave the 5th year on the table, you absolutely DON'T want his bird rights lol.

    One thing to consider is if Rockets have his bird rights, they can still offer just a four year max with the 7% raises. This is still higher than anyone else. Tax differences help as well.
