Hmm. I'm a diehard Rockets fan, but I don't think even the B2B titles elicited that kind of reaction out of me.

So are you saying that if you are bought out, that if it's a straight buy out, no waivers to clear, but if it's stretched, then you have to clear waivers? I honestly don't know. Bima, someone with knowledge, please explain.

Smoove was waived, not bought out. Amare was just bought out and didn't have to clear waivers. Same w/ Larry Sanders.

Lawson might be the better fit IMO. Team needs someone to hand out easy baskets, not necessarily create for himself.

Nothing like a trade deadline to remind me that the vast majority of clutchfans posters have to be under 16 years old.

You just have to look at it as winning a title. Do you care if we overspend for a player if it gets a title.

If the Rockets are willing to give Dragic $100 million to lock up a core they think can win a title, then rock on. That speaks to their willingness to spend, not them being stupid and overpaying. Morey has always talked about how the value of the "other pieces" goes up once you have the foundational players locked in. Where you might not have been willing to spend x dollars on role player y when you didn't have your stars, now that you do, you'll spend twice as much.

I don't get the fascination with Dunleavy at all.

Disagree. Someone who needs to take off some pressure/workload of harden. Harden gets ariza and beverley about 5-10 wide open threes each per game and they brick them all. Ty, Dragic are both guys who can create instant offense

If I could rep you I would.. Lawson is a much better fit for the Rockets, he's the point guard we NEED right now

You can definitely look at it that way. If the cap skyrockets for the 16-17 tying that much money up in Dragic will affect the Rockets spending. The Rockets might not have cap room next summer but they might the year after.

Makes no sense for Martin to be bought out when he can be traded. His contract is not bad and he has a skill set plenty teams need. If the Timberwolves buy him out, then they are a bunch of imbeciles. As far as the Mavs getting him....great! Why would we care, they STILL can't defend the wings and K-Mart doesn't help. Cousins is NOT happening guys, that's not even feasible; let's not make a mockery of this thread.
