I never liked this guy's attitude so if he doesn't wanna come to Houston, let it be. It is the same guy that wanted twice as much as Lowry was making 3 years ago and now he wants the max? I don't know what is going on around the league but I believe Dragic will never be a max player. Kyle Lowry just signed a deal for 4 years and 48 millions. So if the Lakers are willing to give him the max I'd be happy to see them suffering from that contract for the next 4 years. Guy is so delusional. Who does he think he is when he is almost blackmailing the Suns organization where he becomes relevant? SMH.

I am telling you guys if somehow we get this guy, he is gonna screw us in the summer. Would be a sweet revenge for Lakers after Dwight.

If it's true that he personally does not want to re-sign with Houston later on, then I would absolutely not trade for him

not worth it, I don't think we win the championship with him this year anyway

    1) Dragic wants to run his own team with the kind of freedom and support given to someone like Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors
    2) Dragic, who is represented by BDA Sports Management, would strongly prefer to play for a playoff contender.

Conclusion: Dragic needs to make an appointment with Doctor of Psychology.

I don't believe in Dragic's short list. But even if it's true, if it's possible to get him and keep D-Mo I'd take a flyer on the idea that he'll enjoy playing with a winning team and that having his bird rights will give us an added advantage. Unless he tells Morey he won't re-sign here, I'd buy him as a rental if the price isn't too steep and hope we can convince him to re-sign once we have him. Again though I don't believe in his short list. I think he wants to win. None of that is from inside info (some of you know I'm friends with Morey - this isn't from him at all); it's just my opinion.

He wants the Jeremy Lin role before Harden got here. No way he's coming here. I'd like to see Reggie Jackson and maybe a pick for Dragic. These teams he wants to go to have no assets anyway.

Dragic is a cutie. You all know he wants to win. Playing with Harden would boost his stardom as equal to being the main star on a team.

I don't believe in his la, miami, ny list... my bet is that he is coming back to Houston.

Dragic himself doesn't want to come to Houston. If Houston is still in trade talks with Phoenix that means it's essentially giving up assets for a half year rental.

The Rockets' window isn't going to be open forever. I think Dwight only has one or two good playoffs runs left in him. So you trade the Pels pick for a half season rental and hope we can sneak into the finals with Gogi proving his worht as a max contract player.

    Lmao.

What pisses me off is he's not even a elite PG. Him & his agent obviously feel differently. He's CLEARLY never gonna be on this list of PG's.

    Chris Paul
    Kyrie Irving
    Steph Curry
    Tony Parker
    Derrick Rose
    Damian Lillard
    Russell Westbrook
    Mike Conley

What he fails to realize is those big market teams he's chasing will expect a superstar when he gets there. So when they miss the playoffs 5 years straight and that big market media starts blaming him, he can only blame himself. Just ask Melo

Huh... So Broussard said that. That means Boston is out of it! :)

One thought regarding the "short list".

Nobody claims to have gotten it straight from the horse's mouth.

Anybody remember when Dwight was pretty clearly enthusiastic about coming to Houston, and Dan Fegan was doing everything possible to talk Dwight out of it, and was telling everybody that Dwight was lukewarm on Houston?

The one person guaranteed to be concerned about big markets and endorsements more often than the player is the agent. It is possible that the list exists and is genuinely from Dragic's camp without actually being indicative of Dragic's actual desires and attitudes.

Bill Duffy's job is to maximize Dragic's situation. It isn't like free agency where the player actually has a choice to make. It is possible Dragic is giving Duffy a whole lot of space to work and position things for when he actually has to make a long term free agency decision. Up until now, Dragic has been remarkably open to considering anything when commenting on free agency. Maybe he was being cagey, or maybe that is the actual Dragic viewpoint, and the recent stuff is the viewpoint of the naturally more cynical agent.

Not likely, but given how Dwight played out, not impossible.

CelticsLife.com thinks that the Celtics will make the move at the trade deadline. Yep, that checks out...

I'm at the J-O-B right now but Chris Mannix just tweeted that Dragic doesn't like the fit in Boston.

Boston sucks and is in complete rebuild mode. It will be a while before they are even relevant.

Plus, Chris Broussard sauces have already confirmed that he is not going to Boston.

The ESPN NBA lockdown podcast today has a lot of Dragic talk going through all the teams and how they feel about that teams chances.

None of them think Boston is at a place where an older PG makes sense, especially with Smart.

One guy made a pretty good case for Dallas as far as fit goes because he didn't believe Rondo was a long term plan.

On Houston they pretty much all agreed he wouldn't like the situation because Harden is our PG and he is one if not the best guy in the league with the ball in his hands.
