Celtics don't scare me because Ainge is too smart to blow it all on Goran, he'll offer some picks (nothing close to NOP) and Sullinger but the Kings are so crazy they could throw everyone at them except Cousins, I don't see how a team can just give up on their first round picks over and over again. (Stauskus)
Also I think Reggie Jackson is a good player but I dont see him as a point guard at all - he is a the perfect scorer off the bench to create for himself and score - not necessarily create for others. I would rather not have him on this team (I could be wrong of course but basis this on my own observations of his play)
I'd normally be hesitant to trade for a player with the ego that Jackson has but at this stage of the game, I don't know that the Rockets are going to have a better chance at trading for someone at this point in their career with a LONG TERM projection, with that much upside. Also Jackson can be very good on the defensive end if motivated. He's a nice fit next to Harden IF... and its a big IF now, he can improve as a spot up shooter. He will be restricted this Summer going against some stiff competition at PG in free agency, and very few buyers for starting PG's. I also think a team like the Rockets could retain him on a very valuable contract, and he's restricted so it really is in the Rockets court to keep him or let him walk if he goes for an un-godly amount. I like the trade for various reasons, but he's by far the best fit NOW. This would be a move for the future type of gamble that Morey has been known to make before. I wouldn't lose sight of this situation just yet.
Morey won't stop chasing Dragic… according to Woj. Everytime i start to think about getting Dragic all that comes to mind is #misdirection
I'm shocked that the Suns are having trouble finding good assets on the Lakers and Knicks. Shocked, I tell you!
Good for the Suns. They need to try to get whatever they can for the guy. Not send him to a team at the top of his list.
I just needed to post in this EPIC thread. Thanks Doc Rocket Thanks Cyberx Keep bringing what you hear even if it doesn't pan out (and ignore the naysayers). Stuff like this makes this site the greatest. Clutch -- Thanks for the greatest site/forum on the web!
Maybe they'll give us a chance to contact Dragic. Then we could (1) make our case for why he doesn't need to worry about being flipped and (2) get a feel for how likely he is to sign with us or if he's playing us.
Dragic is gonna walk away if we get him. I do not want him. Enormous amount of risk. Not worth another heartbreak ala Bosh
And there you have it. Celtics are being used to drive up the price (Olynyk and a 1st?) Kings could trade Stauskas, but not much else (I assume McLemore is off the table). They cannot trade their first round pick (owned by Chicago, top 10 protected). It's Houston.
