I'm over Dragic as a Rocket...unless we trade for him of course. lol I really do hope that we get Lawson or Knight though if no Dragic. And still trade Bev and get a great backup for him. Maybe our deal with Phoenix becomes Bev for Thomas and whatever else makes that deal work; if we get Lawson or Knight first.
I'll laugh if all this media insanity is ultimately about DMo. The Rocket's have their offer on the table. Something like the NOP 1st, NYK 2nd, Papanikolaou, and Llull. PHX can yell and scream and demand all they want. They can say how desirable Dragic is and how many teams want him. At the end of the day, Houston has the assets, and PHX probably isn't willing to sign Dragic to a 4 year $80 million contract.
Sorry, I don't get what you mean, it has to be a reference to something I don't know Are you trying to say that he is blindly believing in Pat Riley? I think that Riley has earned his reputation and he can deffinetely attract free agents to Miami.
i agree with what you are saying ...but i think Houston trades more than other teams...and players know that. I also think that most players don't like getting traded.
Judging by Jonathan Feigen's article, the Rockets are likely still willing to offer the NOP pick but not NOP pick + DMo due to the risk for re-signing Dragic in the summer. This could be Feigen speculating, but my guess is that he knows where the team stands pretty well. The question here is whether the Rockets' offer, whatever it ends up being, will still trump that of other teams and meet PHX's "reserve price" for trading Dragic. I'm not sure what other bidders are out there beyond those reported and whether each of them is on or off Dragic's "preferred list," but it just seems like that those teams reported to have interest in Dragic just may not offer more than the Rockets do, even if they are on the "referred list."
The whole "Bill Duffy doesn't want Bev's value to decrease if Dragic goes to Houston" being a factor thing just feels... dirty.
If the Mavs got him, they would become a taxpayer this season - that's a loss of an asset: the ability to be a taxpayer in a future year. They would also be doomed to over-the-apron status in the summer (assuming they will keep all 3 of Monta, TY, and Rondo) which effectively means they lost their (full) MLE and KM becomes their MLE expenditure. Because of his utter lack of defense, and the fact he plays the same position as Ellis, KM's role (and thus, his value) would be limited, especially in the playoffs. As I see it, he would get some, but not all, of the playoff minutes that Barea will otherwise get. Very limited role. On a team with Ellis already set as the SG, I'm not sure how he would fit. He's not a SF or a PG. He's not a 2-way player. Perhaps a limited-defense Ellis can be let go in the summer, in favor of a no-defense Martin for only $7M, but I don't think the Mavs would be interested at all in that way to use Martin once they got him. The Mavs need a 3-and-D guy. They got Rondo, who can't do the 3 but who might be able to learn a way to contribute on offense. Getting KM gives one who can't do the D, and most likely never will. IMO they should and will set their sights way higher IMO (Amar'e?) for the use of their MLE (or the equivalent).
What if we did a 4 team trade sending Gogi to Lakers and bringing Lawson and Nick Young here? Can someone make a feasible way for this to work without trading DMo?
Cuban will do anything if he thinks it will mess with Morey. Look at what he did with Parsons contract.
How do you become a player's agent? SOunds like a fun job. Any particular field of study? Or is it just contacts?
Amber Rose and Iggy Azelea would attend all the games. Toyota Center would be star studded. The new Staples Center
