The Morey shopping players bull is what comes from Cuban and other rival teams. This is almost like the circus of college recruiting. Morey does not shop players; he goes in search of ways to improve the team now and in the future.

When you trade for a player or picks, you have to give up something. If Toronto would have given the Rockets their first round pick for someone other than Lowry, he would have done the trade. When he went after Gasol, he was told the price was Kevin Martin plus others and decided that was worth the freight to get a player like Pau Gasol. None of that means Morey wanted to trade either player.

When you actively seek to trade a player, you tend to come out on the short end of the trade in terms of a return. Yet Morey came up with a lottery pick and then Harden when as a result of moving Lowry and Martin. If we were shopping them versus shopping for other picks or players that could help the team, neither of those trades happen.

Agreed. He's the only guy POTENTIALLY on the market that I would be willing to part with DMo/Pellies pick for. We would obviously have to throw in more, but that's a great start.

As for KMart, I would certainly welcome him back here. Second unit scoring wouldn't be a major concern with him at the helm.

 

And he's a facilitator, as well. Man, I'd be so pumped if they acquired Lawson.
