absolutely. That's the beauty of Morey and "analytics." Use of the CBA rules, Draft analysis and player acquisition analysis is why Morey is so great; albeit, we never get Harden unless Presti has a brain fart. But Barkley is right, too. Simmons and Lowe are talking about a different subject than Barkley. Barkley is talking about the direct usefulness of analytics on how to play the game.
Barkley's just using his position to push some weird grudge he has against the Rockets. I actually sometimes enjoy his commentary, not because he has anything insightful to say but because it's funny when he makes fun of say, the city of San Antonio. Him just spewing hate on a team, my own or another, is just annoying. It would be nice to see him get that GM job and get knocked down a peg.

Of course he would appear to be right when he argues against a point NO ONE made. It highlighted the inaccuracy of Barkley's comments and his penchant for making misinformed statements. It's also caused Barkley to go off on a public tirade laced with ignorance for which he has been admonished and ridiculed from almost all angles. Good thing nerds are in now. All idiots-for-experts said Dallas or SA despite SA's free fall at the time and Dallas' Jekyll and Hyde performances. Houston had the best record at the time. The top players in the game, LeBron, Durant, Harden, Curry, all play the game the "analytics way." There’s a lot of getting to the rim and shooting 3s, drawing fouls. No superstar today play like Kobe anymore.
The only thing attacking Barkley at this point is logic and diarrhea in the mouth. I've never seen one person lose so many arguments vs. Morey, Union, and Cousins.
