I think it is worth it. Look at the market, there really isn't much there that would be a better addition to Dragic. And I am of the opinion that we need to load up now and make our run.
Maybe you are right. I just want people to realize what they are buying with their max contract, and what it means to the future IF for some reason the Rockets need to reload talent around James Harden after Dwight's prime. Its a major factor, and honestly some folks might breathe a sigh of relief if they were able to upgrade that position more fiscally responsible. But in the grand scheme of contending now... I do think he's about as good of an upgrade as it gets.
Sending Bev to a third team? Bev and GD on the same team def. hurts BDA since both are clients, and both are FA in the off season.
You're acting like because they would be in similar roles, that the Rockets shouldn't be willing to pay him his value. This is a game of margins......and the Rockets are one (or two) marginal improvements away from being true championship contenders. Adding Dragic means.... - Harden can consistently sit until the 5-6 minute mark in the 2nd and 4th quarters. - When Harden is doubled, we have an elite scoring alternative. - We finally have an elite 2 man game on the perimeter. Look at Curry/Thompson as an example. Guarantee we will see Dragic/Harden PnRs and PnPs. - We take the ball out of Ariza and Beverley's hands......permanently. It's these marginal changes that make the difference between pretender and contender. Take Diaw off the Spurs last year, and what do you have? I won't be panicked if we don't get Dragic. I imagine we will make some other small move to help improve us in the short term. But realize that if that's the decision we make, we will find out if Harden is the 2nd coming of Jordan, because that's the kind of performance we will need to win it all.
Blah - Rockets sources tell me that McHale would like to bring Dragic in with 2nd unit along with Smith to run that whole second squad. How deadly would that be? wow.

Lightning Round: What's the best trade destination for Goran Dragic? I wrote on this one with multiple Grantlanders. http://t.co/twXpLPYRjI
— Bill Simmons (@BillSimmons) February 18, 2015
Simmons: Question: “What’s the most realistic Dragic trade that would make the 2015 playoffs more fun?” I came up with three medalists. By the way, I threw in Zoran Dragic in every trade because the Dragic brothers are a package deal, kind of like Sean Fennessey and Chris Ryan. And I think Fennessey is Zoran. Anyway … Bronze: The Dragic brothers to Chicago for Taj Gibson, Kirk Hinrich and the right to swap Phoenix’s own 2015 first-rounder with Sacramento’s first-rounder that Chicago owns (top-10 protected). If only because we needed to make Derrick Rose’s season weirder. Silver: The Dragic brothers to Houston for Terrence Jones, the Greek Non-Freak/Alexey Shved expirings and New Orleans’s protected lottery pick. Unfortunately, Houston dumped Goran for Linsanity in 2012. I mean, would YOU forgive Dork Elvis for that? Me neither. He’s not going there. Gold: The Dragic brothers to Indiana for Solomon Hill, the Chris Copeland/C.J. Watson/Lavoy Allen expirings and Indiana’s unprotected 2015 first-rounder. Now we’re talking! Fast-forward to mid-April: Dragic, George Hill, David West, Roy Hibbert and a rejuvenated PG-13 at crunch time AS A FREAKING 8-SEED?????? Sign me up! Sign me the F up! I’m rooting for this one. Long live the Legend in advance.
Does this thread break 29,000 posts today? I am sure there will be some new rumor. Dragic news seems to have deflated the anticipation. No worries, Morey is on the job.
Holy Smoke Malakas hasnt posted anything since 9:27 and its 9:47! The internet must be broken. ITS HAPPENING
No way Dragic comes off the bench!!!! Lol he seems to be b****in about wanting to be the man as it is. That would be crazy tho lol
Rockets not one of the team Dragic prefers. He prefers Lakers / Heat / Knicks. http://sports.yahoo.com/news/source...s-preferred-trade-destinations-040017423.html
Beverley has the ball in his hands more than Dragic, and Bev plays fewer minutes. I think people are underestimating how much Dragic is being cut out in Phoenix. I'd expect his usage to go up in Houston.
