exactly.... who plays center when D-mo leaves with D12 still on the sideline and in a uncertain state... that could be a very bad situation... starting Jsmoove at C...
The Suns have absolutely no leverage. Start low and maybe offer them T Jones at some point but hell no to D-Mo.
Re: DMo <iframe width="480" height="315" src="https://www.youtube.com/embed/gfIzSy1Ckus" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe> The Suns can take Jones or Capela and be glad Morey was so generous towards them. If not, watch Dragic walk in free agency and get nothing. Dragic going to those max cap room teams won't hurt the Rockets.
How in the world is anything that has come out tonight a leverage tool to make Houston up its offer. Dragic trade value has PLUMMETED. If this was some ploy, the propaganda would be "Dragic intrigued about playing for the Rockets, but will also willing to play in Miami, New York and LA".
The Suns are saying Dragic wants LA or Houston (lie) so that Houston panics and ups their offer. Suns know Houston will trade for him without assurances of resigning
No effing way I give up DMo for a guy who has given every indication he might walk in July. Nope. Nah. Nuh-uh. No. Nein.
Take it back 4 months and we would of done it and ran, take it back anouther 6 months and you could swap DMo with tjones in that sentence. If adding dragic makes this team better than DMo you do it in the end.
DMO is not a deal breaker by any sense... I have been saying it all along. He is the worst Power Forward out of the top 8 playoff teams. DMO and pick is a lot to give without a guarantee though. I know Morey and McHale are crunching numbers to see if it is all worth it. In the end this move may make or break Morey and McHale's careers. If Morey pulls it off for McHale (because we all know he wants the Dragon) then McHale must deliver at least a 2nd round appearance (all on the shoulders of a healthy dwight)maybe WCF. If he does McHale is safe and so is Morey if we are first round and out everyone will be in the hot seat and Dragic may walk.
If they're willing to do DMO and the Pelicans pick, I think you could very easily talk them down to Pelicans pick and Jones as the deadline approaches. Hell, maybe even less than that. The Suns lost their leverage. They'll realize it within the next 48 hours.
