^ if you don't say "kill kill kill" and just "kill kill" - you're a "white knight" for terrorists. Way to rebut accusation of being a dogmatic ****head about dogmatic ****heads.... Spoiler ... If you're a dogmatic ****head.
Sometimes I am not sure if SamFisher is drunk, depressed or both. Certainly comes across as a miserable loser.
We do need to be more vigilante in stopping the social media recruiting techniques. Why are their twitter accounts not shut down? YouTube videos, Facebook pages freely depict a call to violence against infidels to establish a caliphate. Shut them all down and have dedicated cyber anti-terrorism teams. You've got to separate the bad apples from the rest of the bunch. Rewriting the Quran obviously isn't an option as they believe it to be blasphemy.
the ability to post things about people who say things i disagree with separates us as well. nuts separates you and I.
I thought this thread was going to be about this video (NSFW): <iframe width="640" height="360" src="http://www.liveleak.com/ll_embed?f=488b0156af76" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>
indeed they do; look on the bright side, you're still eligible for Die Wiener Sangerknaben since the incident.
This is a fantastic article that I think could shed a lot of light on who are enemies really are and what they really want, but unfortunately many will not read it because of who posted it. You can't read this and think that there is any possibility of ever peacefully resolving differences with them. There is only one way to deal with them. And if you believe that the "slow bleed" strategy is going to work, think again. It's been an utter failure so far - IS has expanded since the air campaign has begun. They cannot be rolled back except by men on the ground with lots of firepower. Even if you roll them back in Iraq, someone has to eliminate them in Syria. Who do you think is going to do that? At some point they are going to start attacking us here. It's coming. You cannot contain them, they don't see borders - something I have been saying for months. They are beheading people in Lybya now, shooting people in Paris and Copenhagen, recruiting Talinban leadership in Pakistan and Afghanistan, fighting the Egyptians in the Sinai and the Houthis in Yemen... It is only a matter of time before they show up here. Do we do the inevitable before, or after that happens?
Oh I know. But you have to differentiate a bit between the lone wolves doing it in IS name and IS orchestrating large-scale attacks. It's the difference between p/11 and Copenhagen... It takes time from the idea formulation, planning, logistics phases to actual implementation of sophisticated attacks. But it's built into their ideology, their mindset - they *have* to attack us, to do so would be un-islamic. It will happen. Will we wait? I highly suspect we will try to wait at least another two years...
we will wait, no doubt. but the article makes clear that while ISIS lacks the strategic capacity, and perhaps the immediate interest in attacking the US homeland, lone wolves, who make not be able to join the fight in Syria/Iraq, will launch attacks at home. this is what happened in copenhagen. hussein had had his passport revoked, but still wanted to go a-jihadi-ing. i wonder if we should not only let them go, but pay their way (but they must surrender their passports). then strike as dumbbartonbass outlines above.
Yep those lone wolf strikes will definitely take place. People need to be ready for them. Remember the guy in Oklahoma who went into a rage and chopped off the head of one of his coworkers? That sort of thing is gonna continue to happen. My biggest fear is Mumbai-style attacks. Think maybe 40-50 guys all running around at the same time, no seeming pattern, just shooting people - malls, cafes, business offices, too many potential targets to guard or name - possibly in different cities simultaneously. Coordinated with safe houses and switch vehicles. Money, ammo, communications... Law enforcement would easily get overwhelmed due to the fog of war. The military is not set up to operate domestically like that. The National Guard takes time to mobilize. Total chaos, could lead to thousands dead, people too afraid to leave their homes. It would be relatively easy and inexpensive to do, too, and while the terrorists would all eventually be hunted down and killed, it could possibly have more impact than 9/11 did, both in terms of body count and economic, social, and political effects I know that law enforcement (at all levels) and DHS are terrified of just this scenario. This is one of the reasons they have been buying so much military-style gear the last few years, because they know it's coming at some point, and you can't deal with it with a 9mm Glock. Of course car bombs and the airplanes falling out of the skies are still focal points for them too... They are obsessed with airplanes in particular. But whatever form it takes, it's gonna happen. It's coming.
you don't even know how to give a compliment.... is that a racist comment? What is it that you think Spaniards and Greeks lack that make them incapable of being terrorists? what do you think it takes to perform a terrorist attack?
The whole situation is horrible, but I laughed a little at the idea that all these ISIS "warriors" would amass in a field somewhere in Dabiq atop horses and mules, all wielding swords and battle axes and totally hyped up for a glorious bloody battle against an equally large horseback sword wielding army of infidels... And then our jets come out of nowhere and just napalm the **** out of that whole farmland.
i'm frankly surprised this sort of thing hasn't happened already- too many soft targets to protect, particularly if they went after smaller cities or suburbs. they don't need to hit the NYC subway, or the boston marathon to make an impact.
