If Dragic listed the teams all the insiders are talking about…he just screwed the Suns. They will never get any value for him. The only thing to do now is to trade him to the Lakers and hope he can win some more games with him to secure the Lakers pick.

None of these reports make sense. I remember him being asked about his upcoming free agency and if he would hold it against the Rockets for not re-signing him and he said not at all and that its an honor to play in the NBA so he would consider all teams.

LOL at this point, they won't even get a 1st round pick…even if they do…it will be a 2018 or so first round pick from Miami.

Suns might as well trade him to Houston for the NY 2nd and Capela. No way the Suns get any value. Dragic screwed the Suns.

Any basketball player in their late 20's without a ring that would consider being traded to the Lakers, Knicks, or Heat a good thing isn't a player I want around because they simply don't care about winning or rather that it's nowhere near a top priority for them.

Pretty much the whole league has something to lose. Besides its not like they don't regurgitate sources.

I feel really good about Dragic resigning if he gets here. He would get a ton of shots. He would be our Westbrook.

We would have to pay Dragic more than Harden to keep him past this summer. NO!

Not sure if I saw this posted or not?

    http://espn.go.com/nba/story/_/id/12340924/phoenix-suns-now-hunt-goran-dragic-trades

In order for him to get the 5-year max deal that he reportedly wants, he would need to be traded before Thursday? He likes the idea of playing for New York and LA because they will have a lot of money to offer him? But what in the world will they have to offer Phoenix for him? I see no way that the Lakers would give up Randle or their upcoming lottery pick, and besides those I cannot think of any other good assets that they have.

Houston can't give him a 5 year deal because they gave that to Harden. I'm not sure if they would give him a full max deal or not.

But if the Knicks and Lakers don't have the assets necessary to get a trade done before Thursday (I don't think they do) then they wouldn't be able to give him a 5 year max deal either. Even if he signed for a couple million more there a season than Houston, after you factored in the tax difference he wouldn't be making any more money.

All the Suns need are two bidders in order to get value for him.

If this is true, Dragic wants to be traded and is using the Lakers and Knicks as leverage to get a max contact from his new team.

I only play a cap expert on the internet, but I believe we can offer him a five year deal because he's not on a rookie contract. We gave Harden the one five-year rookie extension, but Dragic is on his second contract, so we could offer him a five year contract if we were so inclined.

Honestly I'd still give up TJones or NOLA pick (not both) for a half year rental of Dragic (with hopes of convincing him to stay). I'm down to go all in for this year personally, I think with Dragic we really could go far

its almost stupid how bad his list is... why would he wan to be traded then? why not just ride this season out and just sign with the team he wants to (albeit terrible one) in the offseason?

I think it is so funny how quickly fans on these forums turn against a certain player. For months now, people have been talking on here about how much sense Dragic would make for our team and how Phoenix would have to trade him.

Now, there is a report that he wants to make as much money as possible, even if that means playing for a team that doesn't look very good. And as soon as that comes out, everyone starts saying "He obviously only cares about money", "winning isn't his top priority" and "oh well we didn't want him anyway".

Can you really blame the guy? This is his career. When he retires when he is ~35 years old, he will be at the end of his opportunity of making big money.

It comes across pretty funny. Almost like a guy that asks a girl out, and if she says no, then the guy tries to save face by saying "yeah, well I never liked you that much anyway!"
